University of Hyderabad admission to most of the courses is based on the entrance exam conducted by the UoH. In addition to this, it also accepts several national-level entrance exams for admission to MBA, MCA M.Tech and Ph.D. programmes. While for MBA, the university accepts admission only through its own entrance exam, for various UG and PG courses, the university accepts admission through CUET UG and CUET-PG entrance exams.

According to stream-wise and overall NIRF reports 2024 released by the University, the course-wise number of students placed over the past three years during University of Hyderabad placements is presented below:

National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the CUET 2025 exam date anytime soon at nta.ac.in. It is expected that CUET UG 2025 exam will be held in May/June. The exam will be conducted in multiple slots each day. The number of CUET exam slots will depend upon the number of candidates registered for the exam.

University of Hyderabad offers postgraduate, PhD, integrated, and other programmes to students. At the postgraduate level, the university offers MTech,  MBA, and other programmes to students. The university also provides PhD programmes to various course students. Admission to most of the programmes is based on the entrance examination conducted by UoH. In addition to this, it also accepts several national-level entrance exams for admission to MBA, MCA,  MTech,  and PhD programmes. 

University of Hyderabad is a government university. Hence, the fee is not very high. Even if the students feel the fee as high worry not. These students can apply for scholarships. The below-mentioned is the tuition fee for some courses:

Both University of Hyderabad and Guru Nanak University are good and have an average placement records. The Department of Communication at the University of Hyderabad is well-regarded for mass media communication studies. On the other hand, Guru Nanak University, particularly the Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, Ibrahimpatnam, is also a respected institution with good infrastructure and faculty strength. GNU had a placement rate of around 20% in 2022, while University of Hyderabad had an almost 55% placement rate.

The highest package offered during University of Hyderabad placements 2023 for its School of Computing and Information Sciences (SCIS) stood at INR 23 LPA. Earlier, the highest package offered during UoH SCIS placements 2022 stood at INR 15 LPA.

Hyderabad University offers a wide range of PG and doctorate courses at the University campus under its 12 schools and 41 departments. On the other hand, it also offers integrated MA and MSc programmes are offered via the College of Integrated Studies. The University conducts an entrance exam for admission to MSc, MA, MPA, MFA, MPH, Executive MBA, MBA and PhD programmes. However, it also accepts several national-level entrance exams for MTech, MBA and PhD admissions. CUET PG admit card will be released in the fourth week of February 2026, tentatively. The admit card is a mandatory document that needs to be carried by the students.
