VBSPU Jaunpur Course Admission 2025: Application Process, Eligibility, Courses & Fee

Purvanchal University Combined Admission Test (PUCAT) is conducted by Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University in order to offer students admission in various postgraduate courses. The exam is conducted annually and it is through qualifying PUCAT, that candidates are granted admission to the varsity. Through PUCAT, candidates can get admission in MBA, MA and MSc courses. The mode of the exam is offline and the medium of the entrance exam is English.

The selection criteria for the MSc programme at Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University (VBSPU) Jaunpur is a multi-step process. First of all, the candidate has to qualify in the entrance examination. Applicants need a minimum of 50% aggregate in the undergraduate degree from a recognised university in relevant subjects. Candidates seeking admission to the BPharma programme must meet the required eligibility criteria. The selection of the candidates is based on the CUET-UG scores. Candidates must have completed their Class 12 from a recognised board with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Once selected, candidates remit the admission fee of INR 2.9 Lacs - INR 3.2 lakh. However, the mentioned fee is sourced from the official/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and, hence, is indicative.

Admissions are conducted online. The criteria for most courses is based on the PUCAT exam. To get in, fill out the application form first. Then, give the exam and take part in seat allocation process.

The fee structure of VBSPU varies from INR 14,450 to INR 3.2 Lacs depending on the programme and its duration. The provision to pay semester-wise and/or annually is available for the students. The total expense also involves one-time fees and several other charges availed during the admissions. Applicants can get admission to the MA programme at Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, by following a step-by-step procedure. Firstly, an applicant must meet the eligibility criteria, which include having an undergraduate degree with a minimum aggregate of 45%. The entire admission process is based on the candidates' performance in their qualifying examinations. After the results are announced, they are required to submit an online application promptly. However, the selection process may require additional selection rounds, such as personal interviews or written tests.

VBSPU, Jaunpur accepts PUCAT, or the Purvanchal University Combined Admission Test, as the entrance to the BSc programme. Candidates are selected for the BSc programme based on their performance in the entrance exam. Other than PUCAT, VBSPU accepts other entrance examinations regarding the various courses it offers. However, in the case of a BSc programme, only PUCAT is required as the entrance examination. Any candidate seeking admission to the BSc programme has to register for PUCAT invariably and prepare accordingly, as admission depends upon performance in that test.

The entrance test acknowledged for admission to the Diploma in Pharmacy (DPharma) course at VBSPU, is the PUCAT exam. Admission is purely on a merit basis. Applicants have to appear in the entrance examination conducted by PUCAT. The examination evaluates an applicant's eligibility. Following the entrance examination, a merit list is prepared, after which the candidates undergo counselling for admission based on the candidate's rank and available seats.

VBSPU begins its admission process in March and goes on till April/June, depending on the deadlines. The admission process involves registration via the PUCAT exam online form. Candidates must go through the information brochure, provided on the official website to check for their eligibility. The ones applying for the reservation category must also check for eligibility before the submission of the application. The process involves an entrance test (PUCAT), after which the results are announced and the dates of counselling are issued.

After considering all the specialisations, around 50%-70% of seats are allocated to the candidates who qualify the accepted entrances such as PUCAT, and JEE Main. For UG and PG courses, the CUET exam scores are taken into consideration for admission to fill 50% of seats. For courses such as BTech, JEE Main’s scores are considered to allocate 70% of seats, and the remaining 30% are allocated via the PUCAT exam. Some courses such as BCA and diplomas require the PUCAT exam after the qualification of 10+2.
