Candidates willing to appear for the PUCAT 2024 exam were supposed to fill the PUCAT application form. The last date to fill the PUCAT 2024 application form was June 20, 2024. Earlier, the last date to fill the PUCAT 2024 admit card was May 20, 2024. PUCAT 2024 application form is available in online mode. PUCAT 2024 application form process started on March 1, 2024.  

VBSPU Jaunpur is a public state university that is a residential-cum-affiliating in nature. Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University is recognised by the University Grants Commission. It was established in 1987 and through its affiliated colleges, offers UG, PG, Ph.D. PG Diploma and integrated courses to students. Formerly known as the Purvanchal Institution in Jaunpur, the institution currently goes by the name Shri Veer Bahadur Singh, a former chief minister of the state of Uttar Pradesh. The eligibility criteria for their admission holds an aggregate score of 45%-50% with accepted entrances such as JEE Main, CUET, GATE, and/or the PUCAT exam.

Yes, VBSPU has a placement cell known by the name of Central Training and Placement Cell (CTPC). The placement cell issues a planner which is with an every-year plan, wherein, the CTPC conducts orientation programs, special lectures/sessions, and life skill programs/workshops. CTPC concentrates on consistent collaboration with the recruiters which further brings in offers and deals for the benefit of the students. The companies and CTPC coordinate along to provide a convenient time to organize tests, interviews, and discussions based on the student preferences. A pre-placement talk is then conducted for all the eligible students, concerning their interests. VBSPU Jaunpur campus is spread across 171.5-acre land. All the facilities offered to the students at the university provide them with a safe and comfortable environment to study. The university campus offers many facilities to the students admitted to any UG or PG courses. Some of them are:

Hostels: There are four hostels for male students at the institution. The VBSPU hostels have amenities such as a dining hall, gym, study area, leisure room, and students' mess. The head warden is in charge of safeguarding the safety and security of students, and students are expected to abide by the laws and regulations of the hostels. There are two different hostels for females at the college. Each room may accommodate two or three people, and each student has access to a cot, a cabinet, a study table, and a chair. Every VBSPU hostel is well-equipped with all the amenities, including internet access, recreational amenities, a gym, common areas, etc.

Library: The university library is well-stocked with academic journals, newspapers, government publications, press clippings, and reference materials including dictionaries, atlases, yearbooks, encyclopaedias, and directories, among other materials. Sports: The institution features a sizable open stadium that can hold thousands of people and has hosted several university sporting events. The university offers basic facilities for conducting sports, NSS, rovers and rangers programmes.

Good side of VBSPU Jaunpur:

• In comparison to other universities, VBSPU is affordable with MBA as a flagship course. The tuition fee, along with other fee components is lower.
• The University offers UG, PG and PhD courses across various specialisations. All these courses are accredited by NAAC with an A+ grade and recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
• Through various scholarship opportunities, SC/ST students receive a 5% relaxation in the qualifying degree exam. 

Bad sides of VBSPU Jaunpur:

• According to the student reviews on Shiksha, the university lacks placement opportunities for the students. 
• To get placed in a decent company, students need to search outside for a job.

Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University has more than 500 affiliated colleges. The university through its affiliated colleges provides undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, postgraduate Diploma, and integrated courses in fields such as Applied Social Sciences, Management Studies, Engineering and Technology, and Medicine. The PUCAT entrance exam is the basis for admission to these programmes. The application process is same for affiliated colleges. Around 570+ colleges are affiliated with VBSPU, amongst which, there are colleges situated in Jaunpur with 2 government-aided colleges, 14 are aided and 203 are self-financed colleges. Whereas, the colleges situated in the Ghazipur district have 3 government-aided colleges, 8 aided, and 343 self-financed colleges which make a total of 354 affiliated colleges, respectively.

VBSPU facilitates several extracurricular activities for different fields such as Prerna Coaching which is an NSS team, that provides education to village students.
