• The University offers UG, PG and PhD courses across various specialisations. All these courses are accredited by NAAC with an A+ grade and recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
• Through various scholarship opportunities, SC/ST students receive a 5% relaxation in the qualifying degree exam. 

Bad sides of VBSPU Jaunpur:

• According to the student reviews on Shiksha, the university lacks placement opportunities for the students.

The candidates are selected on the basis of the entrance exam for the MBA course at VBSPU Jaunpur. The university accepts Purvanchal University Combined Admission Test (PUCAT)/ UPSEE scores followed by Counselling. Candidates must clear the eligibility criteria to be able to apply for the course. The criteria is that the candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 45% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ST/OBC) and 50% aggregate for Finance & Control. The PUCAT 2026 admit card will tentatively be released towards the end of June 2026 while the exam is likely to be conducted in July 2026. 

VBSPU Jaunpur admissions are primarily entrance-based. While admission to some of the courses is based on the university-conducted entrance exam, namely the VBSPU Jaunpur Combined Admission Test PUCAT admission to the remaining courses is conducted through national-level entrance exams, including JEE Main UPCET etc. Candidates are only admitted to the university after passing the PUCAT test, which is administered yearly. English is the language of the admission test, which is administered offline. For all programmes, PUCAT is in MCQ style.
