No it is not compulsory to get 75% in class 12th. The candidate should have Passed HSC Examination/Equivalent with Physics, chemistry and Mathematics. Yes, you can join Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) without JEE.

There are two ways to join VSSUT without JEE:

1. Through the OJEE: VSSUT accepts OJEE scores for admission to its B.Tech program. The OJEE is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Government of Odisha for admission to engineering and technology programs in the state.
2. Through lateral entry: VSSUT offers lateral entry admission to its B.Tech programme for students who have completed a Diploma in engineering and technology from a recognised institution.

To be eligible for lateral entry admission to VSSUT, you must have passed a Diploma in engineering and technology with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (55% marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates).

The cut- off marks are determined by various factors like:-

1. Total seats available
2. Number of students who enrolled for admission.
3. Reservation for OBC, ST, SC and PWD CANDIDATES.
4. The difficulty level of the qualifying examination.

This all factors can affect the cutoff scores but as per General trends the cutoff score is somewhere higher than the previous years score as the level of competition is increasing day by day.

The five-year integrated BSc programme offered at VSSUT has received good reviews from the alumni and students. In Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, the B.Tech programmee include courses such as Computer Science and engineering, Electrical engineering, Electrical and Electronics engineering, Mechanical engineering, Civil Engineering, Information technology, Metallurgical and Materials engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication engineering, Chemical engineering, production engineering. For these all courses, the fees is 91,280 rupees (first year fees) only. The lateral entry students will also have same fees i.e 91,280 rupees only.

The VSSUT average package offered to the students during the 2025 placement is yet to be released. However, the VSSUT average package offered in 2024 was INR 6.38 LPA. Earlier, the average package offered during VSSUT placements 2023 was INR 6.96 LPA.

Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology and GIET University, both offers the BSc programme in various specialisations at the undergraduate level. Based on the fee parameter, VSSUT BSc fees structure is INR 2.3 Lacs for all three specialisations on another hand the fee structure for BSc programme offered at GIET University ranges from INR 1.5 Lacs to INR 8 Lacs depending upon the specialisation selected by candidates.
