A:

No it is not compulsory to get 75% in class 12th. The candidate should have Passed HSC Examination/Equivalent with Physics, chemistry and Mathematics. A:

The cutoff various every year but as per the past year cutoff, a general category student with a rank under 1,50,000 in JEE MAINS EXAMINATIONS can easily get a seat at VSSUT. 4. The difficulty level of the qualifying examination.

This all factors can affect the cutoff scores but as per General trends the cutoff score is somewhere higher than the previous years score as the level of competition is increasing day by day.

Satisfied with the college.
Placements: I am a student of VSSUT. There are plenty of options available for placements at this college. Almost all students have the option of doing internships at this college. The companies in this college offer very top growth in their companies. I am very happy with this college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of this college is pretty good and is improving day by day. A new building is also going to be opened in few months. Facilities in this college are top notch but some classrooms are small. Wi-Fi is available on the campus. The food in the hostel is very good and hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers at this college are very helpful, knowledgeable, and qualified to top notch. But something problem is that it is difficult to pass the semester exams. All the subjects that are taught are industry-ready. I am very satisfied with this college.
Other: There are many extra-curricular activities.

I recommend this college.
Placements: We have an amazing placement in our university. There is a different placement cell that functions, and this makes sure that each student gets placed by the end of their career. Some great companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, etc., visit every year, and the minimum package for students is 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: There are 7 boys' hostels & 6 girls' hostels. Each hostel has a library and 2 independent study rooms. A volleyball court is in each hostel, and a TT is also in each hostel. The infrastructure & the hostel maintenance are simply wow. They serve us food 4 times a day. Very healthy and hygienic food is served. Each floor has 10 toilets and 10 bathrooms, and they are sanitized daily.
Faculty: There are 4 professors, 3 associate professors, and 2 assistant professors in our department. They are extremely friendly and highly qualified. They are extremely helpful, give proper guidance to the project works & motivate us to attend some industrial internships. In my opinion, our course name should be renamed as mathematics & computing, so that we can also attend some campus interviews with IT companies. Discussing the exam, sometimes question papers are from some IITs, so the level of the exam is always high to moderate. The faculty members are too lenient, so we can achieve a good mark here.
Other: We have 20 students in our batch. Everyone is placed now. Some are guest faculty members of government colleges. We spent some great moments there. I enjoyed university life and am now content in professional life.

VSSUT Burla: A comprehensive review of infrastructure, faculty, course structure, and placements.

The university focuses on equipping students with industry-relevant skills, leading to a strong placement record across various engineering and technology sectors.
Infrastructure: VSSUT, Burla, offers a well-developed infrastructure. It is spread over more than 500 acres of land. It boasts a central library, well-equipped departmental laboratories, a central workshop, and a central research facility with advanced instruments like SEM and XRD. The campus is Wi-Fi-enabled, and classrooms are often ICT-equipped. Residential facilities include numerous boys' and girls' hostels with modern amenities. The college is somewhat good, with good placements, especially for core branch students.
Placements: About 80–90% of students get placed in the CS branch, and the average package ranges from 6 to 8 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, Infosys, and TCS. The highest package offered is 21.75 LPA, given by JP Morgan. Some of the top roles offered are Software Developer and Associate Developer.
Infrastructure: The courses are somewhat good, but some CS labs lack new technology as they continue to teach on Ubuntu. The hostel facilities depend on which hostel you are allotted. Like in every engineering college, the hostel is just like an ordinary one. The quality of food is somewhat below average.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, educated, and knowledgeable. However, like every other engineering college, they still follow traditional methods of education. The teaching is somewhat aligned with what companies demand. The semester exams can be challenging, as VSSUT focuses more on academics.

Good college and the whole infrastructure is being renovated. Helpful faculty members.
Placements: The fourth year hasn't started yet but already 10 students from my branch got placed at around 5.5 LPA-6 LPA is the average. Last year's placement wasn't that great but this year looks promising. The placement cell and other teachers help students act as their guardians during placement seasons.
Infrastructure: They are renovating the whole hostel. The hostel facility is very good and they can improve the food a little otherwise other facilities are good at the low price of Rs. 18000 per semester. Free Wi-Fi is available. The generator works when the current is cut. The gym is available in the hostels and now they are improving hostel facilities more.
Faculty: Exams are quite difficult at a reputed government college but it is smooth and the benches and room are good too. Faculty members are very helpful and good they will help you whenever you visit their cabins. Teaching is good too. The things which they can improve is the interaction after the class.

VSSUT, from where the engineering journey begins.
Placements: I am a 2nd year student of Electronics & Telecommunication. The placement of our branch was above 80 percent in the year 2024. The highest package was about 11 LPA, and the average package was 6 LPA. The lowest package was 2-3 LPA. The top recruiting companies were TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Cognizant, and Concentrix. The majority of students were placed in the software domain, as semiconductor-focused companies are not available in our college. Students have to find off-campus internships, but some interned at IIIT Bhubaneswar, NIT Rourkela, DRDO Chandipur, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college has a central internet facility which provides free Wi-Fi to all hostels and also on campus. We have a huge air-conditioned library named UCE Library. All the classrooms are equipped with smart boards and green boards. The labs are good, but the equipment is very outdated. The hostel has a lift, washing machines, aqua guards, a small variety store, a badminton court, indoor chess, etc. The quality of food is decent but edible. Both veg and non-veg options are available. The hostels have basic first aid available with an emergency ambulance service.
Faculty: The teachers here are highly qualified. They are Ph.D. holders from IITs, NITs, etc. Their teaching methods are very good, but the curriculum here is outdated and not as per industry standards. The teachers give assignments, take surprise tests, viva, etc., to make the teaching better. The semester exams are quite easy. The questions come from the notes and PPTs of the faculty members. The pass percentage is above 85%.
Other: The first reason to chose this college was my AIR in JEE, as I could not go to other premier institutes. However it is the oldest technical institute in Odisha, so it has a huge alumni network and also a good reputation. Also, this college provides a B.Tech degree under 4 Lacs in 4 years, which is quite cheap. However, the teaching methodologies, infrastructure, hostel food, etc., should be improved. There are two annual fests, Samavesh and Vasant. But the connectivity here is very poor, especially the railway. Various extracurricular activities such as swimming, cricket, volleyball, chess, etc., are available here.

No, it is not possible to join VSSUT BURLA in electrical engineering with a rank of 225255.

The college VSSUT BURLA require much lower rank than this for the course electrical engineering.

You may check other colleges or lower branch than electrical engineering.

Thank you

Sorry  to say but it not possible for you to take addmission of any branch of VSSUT. You might have a chance with lower-demand branches like Civil or Chemical Engineering, but it's not guaranteed. You should try to other colleges and universities if you want guidance about that message me.
