1st engineering college of Odisha. Going to be a national-level university by 2030.
Placements: Approximately 80%-90% of students secured placements in my course. The highest package ranges from 11 LPA - 12 LPA. The average package varies between 5 LPA - 6 LPA. The lowest package ranges from 3 LPA - 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are JSW Steel, Aditya Birla Group, Vedanta, Shyam Metalics, Electrosteel, Visa Steel, Capgemini, and Mahaveer Ferro Alloys. Around 60%-70% of students secured internships by PPO. If anyone wants to apply for any other internships he/she can apply through referral and the rate of getting this type of internship is 100%. Top internship companies are JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Vedanta, Jindal Stainless, RSP (SAIL), research institutes and government labs, etc. Top role offered is graduate engineer trainee (GET).
Infrastructure: Every lab facility and classrooms are equipped with smart boards. My hostel is Pulastya Hall of Residence and here the quality of food is good as compared to other boys/girls hostels (after Marichi and Kratu HOR). Canteen is available on the ground floor.
Faculty: The best department of our college is metallurgical and materials engineering. Teachers are super excellent and helpful. They also help students to prepare for the GATE exam. Semester exams at our branch are very easy where the passing percentage is 100%.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in this field from earlier. The best thing about this course is that the demand for this course is very high but the supply (students) is very less. It is a good opportunity to opt for metallurgy. Fests, clubs, seminars, and everything are top-notch. You can join any club of your interest to increase your knowledge and create projects in the club and then you may put it on your resume.

Excellent Infrastructure and Campus Life, but Faculty Quality Could Be Improved.
Placements: Maximum of the students get placed, about 80-90%. The highest package of the MME branch was about 14 LPA, and the lowest was around 4 LPA. Top recruiters are JSW, Vedanta, MCL, Aditya Birla, etc. Most of the students get internships in companies like SAIL, JSL, JSW, MCL, etc.
Infrastructure: The college area is very green; it is a campus and has great facilities. It has a big central library with superfast Wi-Fi. The college has lots of labs, separate labs for each different branch. The best mess food in the whole of Odisha. It has many hostels named Agastya, Marichi, Atri, Vashistha, etc.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified, depending upon the teacher and branch, they will help you. Like MME branch, the best teachers help students. The course is relevant and ready for industry work. The semesters are not that much difficult; if you study, you can get the best marks. Maximum students pass, with 98% pass.
Other: I chose this course because it has a great future and many opportunities. It would be better if the branch took plant visits to see real-time work. It has amazing fests like Vasant, Samavesh, etc.

It is one of the well-known universities with bare minimum facilities.
Placements: Nearly 80% of students get placed in our course. The highest package is 12 LPA. The lowest package is 4 LPA. The average package ranges from 5-6 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Jindal Steel, Vedanta, IMFA, Reliance Foundation, etc. Nearly 100% of students get multiple internship opportunities in multiple companies.
Infrastructure: Hostels are average, and living conditions are not that bad. Basic facilities are available there. 4 students in a room, which leads to a lack of privacy and unnecessary disturbances. The quality of food is not good, so I'll rate it 2.5 out of 5. Proper sports facilities are not available.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is good. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are a little difficult, but most of the questions are from class notes and the explanations themselves, so it helps more students to pass.

Absolutely satisfied with the good facilities.
Placements: About 90% of the students were placed in my course. The highest package would be 9 lpa, the lowest would be 3 lpa, and the average package would be 4-6 lpa. Many top recruiters are TATA Steel, Deloitte, JSW, Aditya Birla, Semi Front, etc. The top role offered in my course is GET.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. Smart board is there in every class. Food quality is also good. Labs are fully equipped. The library is also good. You can sit there and study peacefully. Foods are not allowed inside the library and for entering the library you must have a library card.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, knowledgeable and very helpful in nature. They prepare the student for industry. The semester exam will be quite tough. Passing percentage is 33%. This course is very relevant to the research and development department. Teaching quality is very good.
Other: The best thing about a metallurgical and materials engineering course is you get experience in industry and it also helps to invent new steel, aluminum and alloy products that cost very little and have good properties.

In short, you will love this college as well as the city.
Placements: 70-80 of my friends have been placed. The highest package is 13 LPA by Vedant Aluminum. The average package offered is 6.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata, ABG, Accenture, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good enough for a technical institute. The hostels are also good enough. They are well lit, ventilated and have gardens too. Wi-Fi facility is also available. It also has washing machines for washing and drying clothes.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are helpful, but a little bit more practical is required. They also make us feel like home. Exams are totally strict. We have four to five invigilators in one hall.

Review of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology.
Placements: It's pretty good this year, 55 out of 64 are placed. As our branch Metallurgical and Materials Engineering comprises metals, therefore steel and aluminium companies mostly take a lot of our students and give good packages. Companies like Aditya Birla, Shyam Steel, and JSW recruit.
Infrastructure: Food quality deteriorates sometimes, but we have our personal basketball court, we just need proper coaches to teach us. The library is good, but books need to be updated, and our hostel never allows us to visit the library, unlike in IITs and NITs. Wi-Fi was available earlier, but now it's not, so we have to use our own internet.
Faculty: Exams are not that difficult if one studies, makes notes, or at least goes through the previous year's questions, then they are pretty easy and have a good level. Some teachers even make questions according to GATE, which is helpful for us, but it varies branch-wise too.

It is the college you didn't dream of, but the college you won't regret.
Placements: The total number of seats in the department was completely filled. The average salary package is 4 LPA to 6 LPA and the highest is 14 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Tata Steel, Vedanta, Tech Mahindra, Aditya Birla, and Wipro. Almost all of us got internships at some good companies.
Infrastructure: The department of metallurgical and materials engineering is new and upgraded from the earlier version. It depicts a modern-day classroom with smart teaching and room for growth. The hostel is old and living there could be quite difficult, but you get used to it once you stay.
Faculty: Teachers in our department are extremely talented and help us polish our skills every day. They are Ph.D. holders. The curriculum is relevant to modern technology and helps in understanding the new age of machines. Semester exams are quite tough, but you could do well once you get a grasp of them.
Other: The college is very good at improving our overall activities and helping us grow, not only in studies but also in preparing us for real life. The campus itself is astounding as it is the oldest in Odisha. We have many clubs to gain knowledge from and clubs to relax in and practice your hobbies.

I'm satisfied with the university.
Placements: Around 50 out of 55 students recently got placed. I think around 9.5 LPA is the highest salary package this time. The companies that visited our college for placements are JSW, Vedanta, Tata BSL, Tata Steel, and many more. Management and many other domains are provided to the students. After observing, I came to know that a minimum of 80% of students get internships.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities in our college are not so good. We have Wi-Fi provided. Classrooms are substandard. The library provides books. Food is not so good, but games, sports, and clubs are active. Water facilities are poor. Cleanliness is poor. Four students have to stay in a single room.
Faculty: Teachers and professors in our college are IIT graduates and PhD holders too. Our courses are relevant and prepare the students. We have a very difficult semester exams are in nature. The pass percentage in our college is 85%.
Other: First of all, our course has scope in its core field. They need to improvise the infrastructure of the building. Connectivity is very good. The surroundings are very clean. The extra-curricular activities are very good. Scholarships are provided in our college.
