It is all good. It is absolutely a lot good to read in this college.

Placements: Placements are good as per recent years' records.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite brilliant if we overlook it from all around. We can experience various moral values. Facilities are all good, and we have different options available.

Faculty: Faculty members are quite experienced and well-trained from different institutions. We have different facilities here and can explore many opportunities to achieve brilliance. They are well-trained and can explain concepts in a short time. They are quite brilliant in teaching using different methodologies and can help explore many problems with us. We can access help at any time and initiate a helping hand from them, so it can be a lot good to read in this college. They are always up to date and cover the syllabus at a particular time.

Other: Everything is alright.

Overall, VSSUT is one of the best engineering colleges in Odisha, and it is also the oldest college.

Placements: Placements are offered in reputed companies like Aditya Birla Group, JSW, Tata Power, Tata Steel, and many other reputed companies. These companies provide job opportunities through VSSUT. Currently, the highest package offered is around 18 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average package is approximately 6 LPA.

Infrastructure: The food quality is good, and hygiene is well maintained. Events like Saraswati Puja, Holi, Diwali, and various others are celebrated in our hostel. All hostels are in good condition and are renovated every 4–5 years. Overall, the hostel infrastructure is good.

Faculty: Teachers have studied at top NITs and IITs like IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and NIT Rourkela. They help students in various activities like branch events and projects. Teachers are supportive, and overall, they give good marks to students.

Good college experience if you are opting for core branch.

Placements: At most 90 percent of the students get placed every year in my course in electrical engineering. The average package of our branch is 5 Lacs per annum and the highest package is up to 12-15 Lacs per annum. Students getting internship varies from 70-80 percent.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is in very good condition both for the college and our hostel for the first year. The college has a central library, and electrical engineering laboratory. In the hostel, the food quality and menu provided are also very good for the students.

Faculty: There are 250 faculty members working in the college for 4500 students which makes the ratio 1:18. The faculty members are cooperative and provide consultancy. There are two exams in each semester, a mid-semester and end-semester. The course curriculum is very relevant and it makes students industry-ready.

Other: My batch is B. Tech electrical engineering. I chose this branch because I always wanted to complete my degree in the core branch so I chose this college. Every year multiple fests are organised by the college. The campus connectivity is well maintained.

Odisha's First Engineering college.

Placements: In Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Electrical engineering is one of the best placement-getting branches. Our average package this year was 8 LPA. Almost 80% of the students were placed. The highest package was around 24 LPA. Our college offers good internship opportunities in core internships.

Infrastructure: The university is surrounded by nature which gives good natural vibes. There are separate well-equipped labs for all the departments. The library is huge, it is expanded till the second floor. The classrooms are equipped with smart boards which helps in better learning.

Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified, most of the teachers have done PhDs from IITs. They focus on the personal development of the students. There are 4 theory exams conducted in a year, two end semesters and two mid-semesters. The level of the exams is moderate.

Other: I chose this college because this college gives the best core placement in Odisha. The faculty here are experienced. This college conducts two big fests, one technical that is Samavesh and one cultural that is Vasant.

A good college with good infrastructure.

Placements: Approximately 90 percent of students are placed in my course. The highest package is 15 lakh and the lowest is 3 lakh, with the average being 3 to 5 lakh. JSW, Hirakud Hydro Plant, Tata, Liberty, etc. All students get internships because it is necessary for placement. Companies like Tata, NALCO, JSW, etc.

Infrastructure: In our department, there is the biggest electrical lab in Odisha. All types of machines are available. In the classroom, Wi-Fi and smart boards are available. In the computer lab, there are 100+ computers. There is a central library where all types of books are available. Hostels are good. Canteen and mess are also good.

Faculty: Lectures are helpful. All teachers are pass out from IIT and did Ph.D. also. They gave the assurance to place all students. Semester exams are also quite difficult because it’s a university. So 70 percent questions are difficult. But pass percentage is 98 percent.

Other: I choose this course because for core branch subject, it’s the best college to place. In a year, there are so many events arranged from different club society. Fest is 2 times in a year.

Very good placements in 2023.

Placements: In our college, atleast 65% students got placed. The highest package offered in our college is 47 LPA, and average was around 6 LPA. The lowest average is 3.5 LPA. Tata power, Ltd., some American banks, maruti Suzuki, etc. Are some of the of the top recruiting company. About 85% students got good internship opportunities in top companies like tata power, Dr. Do, etc.

Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi connection is there, but it is very poor. Classrooms are good, but AC is not installed in any of them. In the case of a hostel in the first year, you have allotted a new hostel with big rooms, but with increasing years, the quality of the rooms decreases. On the other side, food quality increases with increasing years.

Faculty: Faculty are not that good at teaching. But most of them are IIT passouts, so you can expect good teaching from them, but at the end of the day, you will also be disappointed. The difficulty of the semester exam is moderate. But the main cons are this college's marking scheme, which is not that good.

Other: Fests are the most beautiful thing in our college. Its outstanding. I will give 5 stars for festivals. You can also avail of a of a scholarship. It will help in reducing the college fee. The main thing is that I wish that faculty would be good in a college like this. Good Wi-Fi should be there. And placements can be a little better.

Placements: Almost 95% of students got placed in this course. The highest salary package offered was 48 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 6 LPA. The average salary package offered ranges between 8 LPA - 9 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Deloitte, Infosys, IBM, TCS, Wipro, ISRO, etc. Around 40% of students got internships in this college.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is very good. Classrooms are well-furnished. Our campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Laboratory is better. There is a huge library in this college. We can also borrow books from the library. Hostels are well-maintained. All facilities are available in this college. Mess is not good.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified from top institutions like IIT and NIT. The teaching quality is better. They deliver lectures through smart boards using a stylus. The course curriculum is relevant to make students ready for the industry. Semester exams are moderate.

Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it. Fests are excellent. Our campus has greenery all around.

Good placements in 2021-22.

Placements: About 80-90% students got placed. Average package offered was INR 6 lpa. Top recruiting company is Maruti. In 2021-22 our college had a good placement where most of the students got placed in good companies and the maximum package in my view was around INR 15-17 LPA and average was about INR 5-6 LPA.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, Labs, Central Library facilities are available. Our electrical labs had very good equipments and AC classrooms. Overall a very good campus. There was a canteen where you will get every types of food of average quality. Medical facilities are also available here.

Faculty: Exams were a bit difficult but if you have prepared well, you will get good marks, but if you haven't, it's very difficult to pass. Teachers were very helpful and they will help you in every way possible. Overall course was very good, it will get you placements in good companies.
