Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course are a high-speed Wi-Fi network all over campus, a well-developed library system, and air-conditioned classrooms with smart boards. The quality of the facilities in our hostel is also better, with air-conditioned hostel rooms.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable about all topics that you don't know. The teaching quality is amazing. It also makes the students industry-ready. Exams are not hard but have medium-level questions.
Other: This course offers more jobs, that's the reason why I chose this course.

Placements: 95 percent of students got placed from our course. Packages offered in our course are 3.6 LPA to 18 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai. 100 percent of students got internships from our course in Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai companies.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course and department are highly developed. The entire campus is fully supported by Wi-Fi. The labs and classrooms are highly developed and maintained with air conditioning. The quality of the facilities in the hostel is very good.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable about all subjects. The semester exam is not easy or difficult it's medium level. This is not an issue for students, specifically the mechanical engineering branch.
Other: This is a very easy course this is the reason why I chose this course.

Is VSSUT, Burla, actually good?
Placements: Mainly in Mechanical Engineering, the maximum number of students is placed across all the branches. But placement-wise, every branch goes to 60-70 percent placed. In this college, the main attraction for placement is all of the core branches like Mechanical, Electrical and Civil. Most students get internships, mainly in core companies.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and labs are well maintained, but the machinery is in pretty old condition and is working fine. The library facility is decent with internet and air-conditioned rooms. Hostels are packed with students in each room, as there is a scarcity of rooms, mainly for the freshers or new students. The mess facility is pretty horrible, as there are regular disputes among the catering and boarders, and the mess food is bad.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified from different big institutes of India and the world, and are very experienced. The course isn't very relevant to the new generation, but it does make students industry-ready. Semester exams are on the moderate side, and the pass percentage is more than 80 percent in the first year.

Pros and cons of VSSUT Burla.
Placements: 90 percent are placed in companies like Shyam Metallic, Maruti Suzuki, Tata, etc. The average package is 6 LPA- 7 LPA. Now many are getting internships in DRDO, Rourkela Steel Plant, NTPC Talcher, HAL, etc., students are participating in the WorldSkills competition.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is better. Hostel has Wi-Fi. Food can be better, sanitation can be better, the campus needs a bit of renovation, the colors of the building are fading, and sports and gym need to be improved. The hostel needs a bit of infrastructure update as it needs a proper drainage system.
Faculty: Faculty can be better. The curriculum needs to be updated. Exams are up to the level of the teaching. The curriculum can be more updated, like including robotics, etc. Here, Industry 4.0 is present in the curriculum. It is sure that it will make you industry-ready, but it depends on how sincere you are.
Other: People here are very supportive. There is connectivity through bus cheaper but Rapido and Uber don't work here.

I should join VSSUT or otherwise.
Placements: I am a student of VSSUT Bhubaneshwar, which is one of the most famous colleges all over Odisha, and I am a student of Mechanical Engineering. In the past year, 2024 out of 140 students, 121 students got placed in Mechanical Engineering, and that is why it is known as the golden branch of VSSUT. The lowest package goes up to 4LPA, and the highest in 2024 is 12LPA, but the average package offered is 6LPA, sounds good.
Infrastructure: There is a great infrastructure, 450 acres campus. Labs are also well maintained, smart classrooms. The problem is there in the hostel and also a bit in classrooms in summer season, no air conditioning in classrooms, and in the hostel. The food menu is good, but the quality is decent, not so good, but okay, and they have a great exposure to sports.
Faculty: Its faculty, curriculum, and exams are so important, and they take exams so seriously and strictly. My midterms are over, I will take the exams with proper seriousness. They also ask their own question, and getting 7 to 8 CGPA at VSSUT is like getting 9 CGPA at any other private college.
Other: The main highlight of VSSUT is that they provide all these facilities without charging much of a fee. They take 41k yearly, its very affordable.

I am not really satisfied with professors but the campus is far more beautiful.
Placements: The college is famous for its placements in core branch engineering. Last year (2023), 95% of students got placed in mechanical engineering. The highest package is 43 LPA. The average package is 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, Infosys, Deloitte, Tata Steel, etc. Mainly students from the software branch get internships in the college. Their top roles are data analysis, programming, software design, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of the college are above average. Wi-Fi and central library are also present in the college where you can issue all the books for your course. The mess is far better than top private colleges. The food quality is best where you can get 4 times food in a year. Medical facilities are also available in case of emergency.
Faculty: Teachers are highly educated. They have qualified post-graduation and doctorate of philosophy from top colleges such as IIT and NIT. But their way of teaching is not that creative. They only focus on cramming without the basic knowledge of subjects but some of them are also very supportive. The course curriculum is comprehensive and designed on the basis of industry requirements. Exams are very easy. The questions mainly come from PYQs.
Other: I have chosen mechanical engineering due to my interest in this course. This branch is also the best branch of this college. I don't think that there is any improvement required in this branch. Many fests take place in a year such as Vassaunt and events such as Illumina. The scholarships are also given to the students based on their performance in academic.

Placements: About 90 percent of students got placed every year in campus placement. The highest package is around 7.5 lakh, the lowest is 4.5 Lakh, and the average package is 6 Lakh in Mechanical Engineering. The top recruiting company for ME is Maruti Suzuki. Every year, 100 percent of students get internships in companies like Mahindra, Wipro, Tata, and many more.
Infrastructure: Our hostel is very good. In one room, they accommodate 3 students for 1st-year students. We have good classrooms, but we have no Wi-Fi in classes. We have a central library where every book is available. For the 1st-year students, our college provides the best infrastructure, providing excellent hostel facilities. A single room is provided for 3 students.
Faculty: Each and every teacher in our college is highly qualified, and most of them are Ph.D. holders. Their teaching qualifications are just amazing. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry-ready. The exams of our college are not very hard or not so easy; it's of moderate difficulty. The passing percentage is nearly 98%. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready.
Other: I love machines and want to know about machines more and more. The best thing about my course is it is a core branch, and it has a lot of scope in ISRO and the motors industry of India, which is an evolving industry.

Best engineering college in Odisha.
Placements: 80% placement rate overall. The Mechanical Engineering branch has a 95% placement rate. The lowest package is 3 LPA, the highest package is 22 LPA, and the average package is 6.25 LPA. L&T, Aditya Birla Group, and JSW Group are the top recruiters. Internship facilities are also available, and the college has tried with different organizations to provide modern skills to students.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is also above average in our college. The library contains all kinds of books, and the lab is also well-equipped. Wi-Fi facilities are available on campus. Classrooms have digital boards. VIMSAR is present near our campus for medical facilities. The campus is also well-connected to Sambalpur and Burla markets through the city bus and Mo bus.
Faculty: Faculty are excellent in our college, and the majority are Ph.D. qualified. The majority of our faculty members are Ph.D. holders, and some have also completed their Ph.D. from top IITs. Semester exams are mostly easy, and the majority of questions are from pyqs, except in some subjects.
Other: The best thing is the college has very low fees and a high placement rate.

Yes, you are if your AIR is 18360 but if this is your State rank then maybe not. From now on board marks don't affect JEE rank.
