• Placements: According to the VIT Chennai placements 2025, the the highest package offered to the students stood at INR 1.06 Crore per annum (internship and full time offer).

• Infrastructure: The institute has facilities like a library, auditorium, seminar or conference halls, internet & Wi-Fi, hostels, and canteen, among others.

The faculty members in VIT Chennai are all doctorates and Ph.D. holders. Each department in engineering contains a dean, a hod and other staff members which is again classified into professors, associate professors and assistant professors followed by the research scholars. Electronics department alone boasts for its enormous number of 100+ faculty members only in VIT Chennai. Each and every teacher here, are highly qualified and they cater to meet the needs of every student from his/her base. It's true that VIT in Chennai costs more than SSN College of Engineering. The cost of tuition for VIT, Chennai's BTech programme is 5-8 lakhs. Two to three Lacs is the fee for the BTech programme at SSN College of Engineering.

For the CSE branch, both VIT Chennai and VIT Bhopal are decent options. However, considering recent data and factors like placements, faculty, and campus facilities, VIT Chennai might be a better choice.

• Faculty: The quality of faculty at VIT Chennai is generally considered good. While VIT Bhopal also has good faculty, there might be some variation in the quality of teaching.
