VijayBhoomi University Conducts Its 2nd Convocation Ceremony
March 13, 2023: VijayBhoomi University, India's first liberal professional institution, had its second convocation ceremony on 27th Feb 2023. Jaspal Sidhu, Chairman of Singapore International School, and Padma Vibhushan Dr Krishna Swamy Kasturirangan, Chairperson of the NEP Draft Committee, attended the event. With a proud heart, Sanjay Padode, President of VijayBhoomi University, Dr Atish Chattopadhyay, Vice Chancellor, Dr Anil Paila, Pro Vice Chancellor, and Deans of all the schools of VijayBhoomi University attended the Convocation.
Dr KrishnaSwamy Kasturirangan, the chief guest, congratulated the graduating students and remarked, "Graduation ceremonies are very dear to a student's heart. It signifies the completion of one milestone and the start of the following adventure. Your professional careers are about to begin for each of you. I really think that learning must go on indefinitely. If you embrace learning, it will bring you joy. If you use learning to solve difficulties, it will offer you a sense of accomplishment and prosperity. Also, I am informed that Vijaybhoomi University's curriculum complies with the NEP 2020 framework. I'm pleased that our plan to execute NEP 2020 and revolutionise Indian education has already begun to bear fruit.
June 3, 2020: Located at the outskirts of Mumbai, VijayBhoomi University has undertaken the responsibility of 10 neighbouring villages as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Keeping in mind the economic stress, the University distributed over 550 survival kits to the families in neighboring villages which includes daily essentials such as pulses, rice, flour, spices, toothpaste, bathing soaps and washing soaps.
President Sanjay believes that the pandemic has impacted the lifestyle of many people especially of those who survive on a daily wage basis. The University retains social responsibility as a core factor of its education and mission and hence is committed to the social welfare, and more so to the surrounding ecosystem.
The funds of these survival kits were raised by the students of IFIM Institutions, Bengaluru and Vijaybhoomi University during their annual marathon ‘Kanyathon’.
