VIT-AP University MSc Courses & Fees 2026: Admission (Open), Application & Selection Process

The specialisations offered under the MSc course at VIT-AP University are Data Science, Chemistry, and Physics. The course are offered in a full-time mode lasting for two yers. Admission to the MSc course is subject to a valid score in the last qualifying exam.  VIT-AP fees for the two-year MSc course range from INR 1.2 Lacs to INR 1.6 lakh. The course fee can be paid in two installments. Further, candidates must also pay an amount of INR 3,000 as a caution deposit fee, which is refundable. Candidates willing to apply for the hostel seat at the university must pay an amount of INR 2.47 lakh. VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is mandatory for admission to the B.Tech. Programme in Vellore Institute of Technology-AP (VIT-AP). Higher Secondary Board, JEE Main, or SAT scores will not be considered for admission to the B.Tech. Degree Programme. However, for some other courses, there is no entrance examination, and candidates are selected based on their academic performance.

Yes, VIT Andhra Pradesh University does offer BSc as an dual degree programme with MSc. The dual degree programme lasts for five years and is offered in a full-time mode. The UG+PG level course is spreas across ten semesters that combines core subjects with a major. The BSc-MSc dual degree comes with an exit option which allows students to earn different degrees provided they fulfill the credit requirements. After three years of successful completion of this programme, BSc in degree in Data Science will be awarded and MSc degree in Data Science will be awarded after successful completion of another 2 years.

According to  the latest report, more than 632 recruiters visited the VIT AP campus in 2025 and placed 10025 students of the batch 2025. This year, various national and multinational companies took part in the placement drive. Some of the top recruiters include Microsoft, Amazon, Accenture, TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, Google, etc.

Authorities will soon announce tentative dates for commencement of classes for VITEEE 2026 qualified candidates. After counselling process is over, classes are expected to commence for all candidates who have been allotted to BTech courses offered by campuses. Candidates willing to apply for the VITMEE exam 2026 must go through the criteria carefully. • Must have an Indian nationality and must have graduated from institutions located in India with a minimum qualifying percentage of 60%.
• Foreign or NRI/POI candidates must apply separately. 
• Final year students can also apply for the exam. 
• Must have acquired a minimum of 60% in their class 12th and diploma exams.
