Prior to the beginning of their first year of college, students have a long to-do list. Students need to choose courses, get familiar with the institution’s rules and environment, find out where and when classes take place, common gathering areas, living areas, the library, department offices and much more.

It is essential that the adjustment be as simple as possible for students. It is important to provide students with the means to easily find the information they need. Students can definitely go to multiple departments, contact different people, or search across a variety of applications to look for the information they need, but there is a better way. A student portal provides a single point of access to all applications, information and content throughout their course. Students need access to learning management systems to submit assignments and see their grades, need to get the latest class schedule and exam timetables and much more.

Arya Institute of Engineering and Technology or AIET’s website has a feature-rich students’ corner to aid them all year round. The Student's Corner is comprised of three sections – Students’ Corner, Examination Cell section and Feedback section.

1. Students’ Corner: This section facilitates students by providing them with useful materials that they would need throughout their college years. This section has the following services:

• Download forms: Students can download various forms using this service. The website provides you with four forms – Caution Money form, Degree Collection form, Marksheet for Eighth Semester Collection Form and Transfer Certificate Form. 
• RTU results: Students can check their end semester results after every semester using this affiliate link. They need to enter their class, enrollment number, name and their mother’s name to check their exam results.
• Assignments: This section provides the assignments assigned to the students. A student from any semester and year can access their respective assignments and submit them in due time.
• Pay Fee Online:  The institution offers the students a dedicated section on their website to pay for their courses, hostel and bus facilities online. The fee can be paid in a matter of seconds. PayU powers the payment portal.
• Institution Learning Levels: The institution assesses the learning levels of the students through the Student Induction Program. The main goal of the Student Induction Program is to help new students acclimate to the new environment, instil the ethos and culture of the institution, help them make bonds with other students and faculty members, and provide them with exposure to a sense of greater purpose and self-exploration. This page covers the activities and programs the institution organises.
• Student Grievances: The grievance procedure is a means to settle the issues or disputes between the student and the institution and express students’ feelings by letting them pursue the grievance procedure that is compliant with the rules and regulations of the institution. A student who feels he/she has been unfairly treated in academic/administrative affairs or convinced to be discriminated against may appeal using the grievance procedure. It involves the Student’s Grievance Cell investigating the matter at hand by inquiring and analysing the nature and pattern of the grievance in a strictly confidential manner. Matters are disclosed only to those who are authorised for resolving the matter. A final report is prepared based on the grievance received and resolved and is submitted to the Principal. Further course of action is decided and later intimated to the students. Students can either submit grievances online using the portal or download and fill out the form manually.

2. Examination Cell Section: The Examination Cell of the institution manages this section. This has access to the latest timetables for the internal assessments and their solutions. This section consists of the following services:

• Mid-term and Practical TimeTable: This page contains the timetables for the mid-semester exams conducted by the institution and the practical exams as well.
• Seating Plan: This page provides the seating plan for the internal assessments and practical examinations for students. 
• Paper Solution: The solutions for the mid-semester and other internal assessments are uploaded on this page.

3. Feedback section: Constructive feedback is a robust tool for creating a healthy environment, boosting productivity and engagement and achieving better results. It positively influences communication, team members’ interaction and teamwork results in different fields. The institution provides separate pages for students, parents, alumni, teachers and employers for providing their valuable feedback for the betterment of the college.
