Students need comfortable stay to focus on their studies and keep themselves fit and safe. DAV University has all modern hostel facilities including. For students, it is like a home away from home. The hostel caters to the requirement of 1700 students making their stay safe and comfortable. The hostel buildings are eco-friendly, the dining hall is spacious too, and hostellers can use the library even after working hours of the university that is after 5 PM. University provides a vigilant security system. The hostel has a 24X7 power supply. It has a facility for indoor and outdoor games/sports activities. University has three girls' and one boys' hostel. The girl's hostel can accommodate 1200 students and the boy's hostel can accommodate 600 students. Both the hostels have single, three, and four-seater facilities. AC and non-Ac rooms are available in the hostel. Students and staff are allowed to enter the hostel only after showing their identity.  The given below table shows the hostel fee at DAV university.  

Library  

The following facilities are available at the library of DAV University, Jalandhar: Registered users can use "Turnitin" software to check plagiarism. It is used by research scholars to assess the originality of their content. The university has purchased this tool for qualitative research. "Urkund" is another plagiarism-detecting software for all faculty members and students. The library at DAV University is fully automated, and the preparation of the database and bibliographic details is all done electronically. All the books and reading material are maintained and kept on the two-sided racks, which are open. A Dewy Decimal Classification has been used to identify the documents. The library regularly updates its faculty members and students through newspaper clippings and current awareness services. The library has a seating capacity of 250 students and is fitted with LED lights for proper visibility while reading. It offers users the ability to reserve books.

Sports and fitness.

The university provides sports facilities for all its students. Both indoor and outdoor games are available with a coach. Students are prepared to participate in inter and intra-university competitions. The campus has a playground for football and cricket. The university has maintained the courts for volleyball and basketball. Indoor games such as table tennis are also available. The university also has a gymnasium, which enables the students to be healthy. It is equipped with all the modern machinery.

IT Centre  

An IT centre has been established inside the campus to provide network facilities. The campus provides high-speed connectivity to all the departments of the university. All the departments of the university are connected through optical fiber; all the hostels are wi-fi enabled. The university has made good progress in office automation. Departmental Labs

Various departmental labs are available on the campus to facilitate faculty and students with various types of research work.

1. The Agriculture Lab conducts various types of work related to agriculture science. Students of agriculture studies at DAV University are prepared for career opportunities and placement using this lab.
2. The Science Lab, as the name itself suggests, is to conduct various types of science and technology-related experiments. Science and engineering students use this lab for their study-related experiments.
3. A language lab has been set up to complement teaching practices of the English language.

Transport Facility  

A transport facility is available for students as well as faculty members, which makes it easy to reach the university in a comfortable way and on time.
