Entrance Exams in Brainware University
The Brainware Eligibility Test (BET) is conducted during the admission season i.e., between June and August every year.
Examinations are a key part of an academic institute. Students at most universities or colleges are admitted on the basis of special exams held all over India or region-specific exams. For admissions in different fields, different exams are conducted. Also, some universities and colleges prefer conducting their own exams for the purpose of admissions. Examinations are a vital part of the admission process at Brainware University (BWU) as well.
Entrance Exams at Brainware University
For admissions, Brainware University conducts an entrance exam called the Brainware Eligibility Test (BET). In addition to the marks obtained by students at the 10+2 level, the entrance exam is also an admission criterion.
But the scholarship that the university provides for academics is not based on the marks obtained in the entrance exam, but on the marks scored in class 12.
The university does not acknowledge any other competitive exam scores or special examination scores for admissions in any of the programs being taught at the university.

- Candidates must complete Class 12 with at least 60% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/ PwD) with 45% marks or equivalent grade in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics with individual pass marks in both theory and practical & pass marks in English.
- The upper age limit is 40 as on December 31, year of admission.
- Additionally, candidates also need to qualify Brainware Eligibility Test to get admission to BPharm course.

The test is held as a common threshold for all candidates appearing for admissions in BWU, regardless of the stream or program they opt for. The test is based on the syllabus of 10+2 level, where questions are set focusing on the course opted for admission.
Exam Dates of BET
The Brainware Eligibility Test (BET) is conducted during the admission season i.e., between June and August every year. The exam is conducted on the university campus.
The test is held on the spot when the candidate visits the university for enrolment. If the applicant applies online, the admission department contacts the candidate and schedules a specific time for the candidate to visit the campus for the test.

A pass in Class 12 in any stream with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/ PwD) is required to apply for the Brainware University BCA course. Reservation policies of the Department of Higher Education, West Bengal will be followed for admission in reserved seats for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/ PwD. Candidates must hold the documents required for verification at the later stages of admission. In case an aspirant is unable to prove his or her eligibility during document verification, his or her admission stands cancelled.
