Extracurricular events and activities are an essential part of our education system, and students take part in these events, considering them as another way of learning outside their textbooks. These events help boost one’s self-confidence as well as overall personal development. It’s not necessary that it only include your personal interests. Playing a video game or singing is more often than not listed under non-academic learning. But, if anything leads to building your mind muscles stronger and enhancing your skills, then it is encouraged at our college.

Sports and cultural activities
Poornima University, located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, is spread over 32 acres of lush green campus. Enveloped with its serene beauty, it is a habitat for over 2500 students, along with 10+ international students and over 250 faculty members from various states of the country, who come from various cultural backgrounds and carry forward their rich cultural diversity.
The university goes the extra mile in an effort to provide an inclusive environment for all students and employees. At a university level, major events such as Diwali Celebration, Holi Celebration, Saraswati Pooja, Yoga Day, International Cultural Diversity Day, Hindi Diwas Celebration, Navratri Celebration, World Human Rights Day, and an annual day function showcasing the cultural and folk dances and songs of international and national students, etc. best achieve harmony and tolerance for regional, cultural, linguistic, socio-economic, and many other diversities.

The campus life is amazing as there is canteen and various facilities provided to students which makes the life of students quite easy. Hostel facilities are provided to students. The university also arranges various events, seminars, and conferences for students.
Various performances are given by students depicting various cultural and heritage aspects of the various states through their performance in an event organised by Poornima University called Poornima Utsav at the campus level, which propagates and also supports the idea of diverse cultures.
Students from various states, such as North East states, Southern states and all across India are given opportunities to showcase their rich culture, beliefs and dance in an annual function. These events have been proven to be a fusion performance of all cultural dances and drama performances.
Many of the local and regional events are also organised and celebrated at the campus, especially Teeja, Hareli etc. The colourful Holi festival is also celebrated with flowers and organic colours on the campus. The University has also celebrated Hindi Diwas and state formation days over the years, wherein the rich culture of the country and the state has been showcased through various posters, debates and essay competitions for students. All the festival ceremonies are celebrated together by faculty members and students.
The university goes out of its way to make Christmas and Eid special for students from South Korea, Africa, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. Socially connecting with rural people residing in and around the university campus is also encouraged by respecting their cultural, communal, socio-economic and linguistic values.
Yoga and Meditation
The art of practising meditation and yoga helps in controlling an individual's soul, body and mind. It brings together mental and physical disciplines to achieve a peaceful mind and body. It also helps with managing stress and anxiety. Moreover, it keeps one relaxed. Poornima University at its campus has a yoga room for all of its students. Frequent sessions are conducted for the students by a qualified yoga trainer at the university campus.
