Q: What are the three things that your institute is doing that will enable it to differentiate itself from competition?
A: To Number and put it in words might be difficult because what we are doing at IFIM Institutions is bring in the student from the school and then create responsible global citizens who are ready for the new world humans and AI is creating. The challenges are different than what it was 5 years back, post pandemic even the skills now one requires has changed. IFIM and the faculties are crafting business and law professionals who shall meet all these requirements and be ready to be employable and employ the talent like them. To put it in three-dimensional view we are creating holistic, socially responsible and continuously employable professionals.
Q: What are the top three initiatives undertaken by you that are helping your students become more industry ready?
A: At IFIM institution we have made sure that the knowledge of Scholars like Stewart Friedman, Lynda Gratton meets the Clayton Christensen, W. Chan Kim and Renée Mauborgne’s depth and clarity of thought. With that we also make sure that they also understand what H. Bowen conceptualized in his Social Responsibilities of the Businessman and we achieve the same by making sure its not just inside the class they learn the same. At the same time at Law School our students are encouraged to think beyond the Legislature made laws and critically evaluate the laws so made. Think about a world which goes beyond litigation and where lawyers become problem solvers via mediation and conciliation and not via court cases. We nurture brains which incubate skills that shall be of the most importance in the years to come. We create the same by providing the students of IFIM with
- Internships and Live Projects
- Research incubation
- Social Immersion program
- And Combining all the above with Corporate Mentorship
Q: What are the key attributes that a student should have in order to qualify for your institution and perform well?
A: He needs to have scored a minimum academic level of percentage (refer website) and then appear for a Test (ISAT) (No need for five year law if given CLAT) and then appear for an Interview with a panel which comprises of Faculty Member, Industry Expert and an Alumni.
Get top grades in your institution; Grades are a requirement of Bangalore university, so yeah the faculties make sure the student is trained to score high grades, but what we do other than the syllabus makes the colleges life more vibrant. As explained above the Interventions make sure the student is in top elements and is able to focus better on his academic life as he enjoys the same since he is also practically learning what he is being taught. This induces him to learn better , score better
Q: Which programme/s would you say is/are your best? What is it that helps your institution differentiate itself for this programme?
A: IFIM was established as a Management School, IFIM Stands for Institute of Finance and International Marketing and it has a lineage of 25 years of existence Founded by the visionary Late V.B. Padode who also owned the world DSIJ (Dalal Street Investment Journal) Group. So most courses run by IFIM has the edge of streaming itself from the management which knows the length and breadth of management education. So all the courses be it a Postgraduate MBA or else undergraduate course like BBA/BCom. A Technical course like BCA (where we did 100% placement this year) or a Humanities course of BA (Journalism, Psychology & English). You will see the commitment of faculty to students and to nurture him is exceptional.
Add to that that we have a law School which probably has the best BBA LLB course in the country because the BBA courses ae taught by the management gurus of the B school we have and Law courses are taught by national law School alumnis like us . Each course has its own Uniqueness and is the best making IFIM Institutions , a academically stimulating experience and journey for the students.
