KIIT and Cambridge Sign MoU for Academic Cooperation

The MoU was signed between KIIT School of Architecture & Planning and the Department of Land Economy and Center of Development Studies of the University of Cambridge. Prof. S. S. Ray, Director, KIIT School of Architecture signed the MoU on behalf of KIIT University and Dr. Shailaja Fannell of Department of Developmental Studies, University of Cambridge signed on behalf of Cambridge.

KIIT Deemed to be University and the University of Cambridge signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for academic cooperation.

The MoU was signed on 18th August 2019 in the presence of Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS and Dr. Subrat Acharya, Pro-Chancellor, KIIT Deemed to be University. It was done between the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology School of Architecture & Planning and the Department of Land Economy and Center of Development Studies of the University of Cambridge. Prof. S. S. Ray, Director, KIIT School of Architecture signed the MoU on behalf of KIIT University and Dr. Shailaja Fannell of Department of Developmental Studies, University of Cambridge signed on behalf of Cambridge.

“The purpose of this MoU is to promote and expand international understanding, institutional goals and friendship by stimulating and supporting academic, professional, and intercultural activities among students, faculties and staff at the two cooperating Universities.” Both the Universities will jointly develop appropriate educational programmes for faculty and students. Also, they will organize faculty-student mobility, collaborative research, cultural exchanges, joint development and offering of courses, programmes, seminars, and workshops.

  The villages should be developed into smart villages like smart cities for the development of rural youths - Dr. Fennell  

Both the universities will work together on the sustainable smart solution of the rural problems in Odisha including Kandhamal. The MoU between the Universities will help faculties and students in research and other academic development, said, Prof. Ray.

Yes, KIIT School of Public Health does reserve some seats under the KIITEE quota for SC, ST, and other reserved categories. The merit list is prepared separately for each category. The reservation is as below:

No, KIIT School of Public Health does not offer direct admissions for PhD. Students have to appear for the KIITEE exam or submit other accepted test scores. The final selection is based on entrance score + PI + past academic/ research performance.

Yes, KIIT School of Public Health does offer PhD programme. The college offers the PhD course in full-time mode to eligible students. Students can pursue PhD in Hospital Administration and Public Health.
