From Ghaziabad to Chennai, my Engineering journey has been a successful one, says Nimisha Asthana
I completed my schooling from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh and told my parents about my interest in pursuing graduation from Chennai. My father had always faith in me and trusted my decision on a successful future. Being an electrical engineer himself, he told me that engineering can’t be studied while being at home. It's just not everything about taking a degree but also learning how to lead life. So, here my journey to pursue BTech in CSE at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram started.
I always wanted to pursue my graduation in CSE that would help me boost my confidence and hence provide an overall development in areas such as personality development and industry exposure. Being under the erudite faculty a pedagogic environment has been given to every student who strives for nothing less than excellence.
Being at the zenith of educational background, we are provided with world-class libraries, buildings and cafeteria. The infrastructure is well built and provides an atmosphere of healthy learning.
SRM has a very open culture and hence encourages students to participate in various social and technical events organised frequently in campus. I am an active participant in SRM MUN and have participated in managerial jobs such as national level technical fest and Texus. Due to my interest in literature, I also participated in numerous events of literature clubs. I was also selected for SAP (Student Abroad programme) to study at NUS, Singapore. I was a global volunteer for AEISEC as well and represented India in Hungary for 2017.
For higher education, I aspire to go abroad. The faculty members at SRM IST Ramapuram have helped me a lot through the procedure of applying with recommendations to all the institutions I have applied all over the globe. They have been moral support throughout the process of my application till decisions.
I would say SRM IST Ramapuram is the best place for every aspiring student who wants to inculcate the values and virtues of diligence, discipline and knowledge. A place where the correlation between education and personality development imbibes the student with the best of their capabilities.
