NIT Andhra Pradesh Cutoff 2019: Check Category-Wise JEE Main Cutoff Ranks

JEE Main Round 6, has been released for admission to the BTech courses. As per NIT Andhra Pradesh JEE Main cutoff 2023, the Round 6 closing rank was 54146 for General category candidates in All India quota for Biotechnology Engineering. NIT Andhra Pradesh offers various B.Tech course specialisations based on JEE Mains rank, followed by the JoSAA Counselling process. NIT Andhra Pradesh offers a BTech degree in eight specialisations. Admission to a four-year duration course is done on the basis of JEE Main. The basic eligibility to apply to the BTech programme is a minimum of 75% aggregate in Class 12. The total fee of the programme is INR 5,44,900 (for the income group more than INR 5,00,000).

As per NTA - The governing authority for DASA UG admissions - announced JEE Main 2025 ranks will be the basis for admission. In contrast to Indian candidates who must register for JoSAA counselling 2025, all foreign citizens must apply for JEE Main 2025 and, upon the announcement of the JEE Main ranks, must register for DASA counselling in order to be considered for admission.

Foreign nationals studying in any country, including India, as well as Indian nationals studying abroad who meet the specified admission criteria, are eligible to apply for the DASA UG program.

For Indian nationals, the criteria are:

1. Completion of at least two years of education, including 11th and 12th grades or equivalent, in a foreign country within the last 8 years.
2. Successful completion of the qualifying examination from abroad.

Eligible candidates must also have a JEE Main rank and should have completed Mathematics, Physics, and one additional subject from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Biology in their 12th grade. Additionally, they must have secured at least 75% marks (or a CGPA of 7.5 out of 10) in aggregate, as per their respective boards.

NIT Andhra Pradesh MTech cutoff 2022 had been released across multiple specialisations. Based on the Last Round seat allotment, the MTech cutoff scores ranged between 350 and 350 for the General AII India category students. The only course for which cutoff was released in 2022 was M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering. So, considering the Last Round cutoff, candidates seeking admission to NIT Andhra Pradesh must secure over and above the cutoff range mentioned here to be eligible.

NIT Andhra Pradesh JEE Main cutoff 2025 for the BTech CSE course was published for admission for various All India and Home State quota categories. For the General AI category, the overall cutoff fell between 16537 and 22270 for the BTech CSE course.

Yes, NIT Andhra Pradesh (National Institute of Technology) follows seat reservation policies for BTech courses. These reservations are in line with the Government of India's guidelines and are applicable to various categories such as:

• Scheduled Castes (SC): 15% of the total seats.
• Scheduled Tribes (ST): 7.5% of the total seats.
• Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL): 27% of the total seats.
• Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 10% of the total seats.
• Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 5% of seats in each category.

These reservations are applicable across all NITs, including NIT Andhra Pradesh, and are an essential part of the admission process for BTech programmes. Candidates seeking admission under these categories need to provide relevant certificates to claim the reserved seats.

If a student fails to appear for the mid semester examination in any subject (s) due to compelling reason like serious illness of himself/herself which necessitates hospitalization (with intimation to the medical officer) or a calamity in the family, he /
she shall apply immediately to Dean-Academic, along with relevant certificates and duly recommended by the respective Head of the Department, within one week after completionof the examinations.All such caseswill be scrutinized by a committee and approved list of candidates shall be permitted for are examination and the period of reexamination and syllabus shall be notified by the Dean- Academic.
Appearing in the end-semester examination in the theory and laboratory subjects is mandatory for a student. Unless exempted as stated below, if a student fails to appear for the end–semester examination, he/she shall be awarded ‘F’ grade in the subject. He/She can be permitted to appear for the makeup examinations to be conducted later, as announced in the academic calendar. However, if a student misses the end-semester examinations due to a compelling reason like serious illness of himself/herself which necessitates hospitalization or a calamity in the family, he/she may appeal to the Dean-Academic before commencement ofexamination through his/her Head of the Department and Institute
Medical Officer for permitting himself/herself to appear in the subsequent examination (s), when conducted next. A committee consisting of the following members may, after examiningthe documents andbeingconvinced about themerit ofthe case, recommend permitting him/herto appearin the subsequent re-examination (s), when conducted next, condoning his / her absence. In such cases, transitory grade ‘I’ is temporarily awarded to the student in the subject.

For admission to BTech at NIT Andhra Pradesh, students must pass Class 12 with 75% aggregate with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with any one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject (for SC/ST, 65% aggregate is required). It is manadatory for students to qualify the eligibility criteria set by the institute for the BTech programme.
