In today’s time, placement is one of the most important factors a student and their parents look for before taking admission into any institute. GLA University is one of the best private institutes in the state and provides good placement opportunities & offers to its students.
With the increasing number of students every year, the university follows the one student one job policy, meaning a student is not eligible for the recruitment process after receiving an offer in his or her core branch. Also, it is mandatory to maintain 75% attendance in every semester to be eligible for the placement drive.
For the 2022 passing out batch, more than 3,000 offers have been made till now and the recruitment is still underway. The scenario is much better for IT branches as compared to those of core (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) ones. It is also observed that most of the students from core branches also appear for drives in IT companies. This year the highest package has been INR 44 LPA, offered by Amazon, and close to 400 companies visited the university for recruitment from different branches & specialisations. The average CTC was INR 6.20 LPA, with an average CTC of INR 7 LPA in Engineering & INR 10 LPA in Management courses. And for the 2021 passed-out batch, the total number of offers made was more than 2,100 and close to 400 companies came to recruit. The university has a dedicated training & placement cell which is responsible for all placement-related activities & supports students in the best possible way. Before appearing for any recruitment process of a specific company, the company floats the eligibility criteria, and only those fulfilling the criteria can sit for that specific company, also the criteria vary from company to company. The average placement has been 76% over the past few years.

Particularly for Computer Science & Engineering, the companies that come for recruitment include Capgemini Consulting India (P) Ltd., Medlife.com, Infosys Ltd., Sap Labs India Pvt. Ltd., TCS, Accenture, Wipro, Amazon, etc. More than 80% of the students get placed with a decent package. And for Electronics & Communications branch, the companies that come are Orange Business Services Pvt. Ltd, Dish TV, Infogain, Samsung, Sify Technologies, Truechip Solutions, Zia Semiconductor, etc.
Recruiting Companies in Core Branches
For Electrical Engineering, the companies that come are Azure Power, C&S Electrics Ltd., Honda Siel Power Products Ltd., Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd., Oppo Mobiles India Pvt. Some of the companies include Bandhan Bank, Berger Paints, Coffee Day Beverages, HDFC Bank, ITC Ltd., MRF Tyres, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, etc. GLA University also helps some of its meritorious students to get good summer internship offers from reputed organisations.
Recruiting Companies in Pharmacy/ Biotech Engineering
The companies which come to recruit students from Pharmacy & Biotech backgrounds include Alembic Ltd., Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd., Dr Lal PathLabs Ltd., Lifecell International Pvt. Ltd., Lotus Herbal Pvt. Limited, Lupin Ltd., Pfizer Ltd., Zydus Healthcare Ltd. and many more. And the total number of intake in BPharma is limited to 100 seats and the course is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), thus there are high chances of students getting placed in good organisations.
