Yes, candidates from all streams can fill the application form of UCEED. Also, note that Biology will not be considered in place of Mathematics. The application form for UCEED 2027 must be filled out by candidates after ascertaining their eligibility. IIT Roorkee has the same eligibility criteria as IIT Guwahati.

 

UCEED 2027 Entrance Exam will be on January 17, 2027 on Sunday. The exam is for B.Des programmes at IITs conducted by IIT Bombay.

Candidates from any academic stream are eligible to apply for UCEED exam. However, for admission to IIT Guwahati, it is mandatory for candidates to have passed Class 12 from Science stream. The candidate needs to carefully go through the eligibility criteria before they apply. This is because the candidate will not be considered for admission to the B. Des programme even if they get a rank in UCEED if they don't meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. LPU does not offer direct admission. However, admission to few courses is merit-based.  Aspirants scoring a 65% aggregate have a good chance of getting admission in LPU. To apply for LPU, aspirants need to register for LPUNEST for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. LPU admission to most of the courses is based on LPUNEST score. UCEED consists of two parts:

• Part A (Computer-based): Objective questions (NAT, MSQ, MCQ)

• Part B (Pen-and-paper): Drawing and design aptitude questions

Eligibility criteria to participate in UCEED counselling are given below.

• Candidate must be born on or after October 1, 2002.

• Candidate must have qualified in UCEED exam.

• Candidate must have passed all five subjects in 10+ 2 or an equivalent exam in 2026 or 2027. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam for the first time in 2025 or earlier are NOT eligible.

These seats are allocated across six design specialisations such as Product Design, UX Design, and Animation & VFX Design. Students must meet eligibility criteria and present valid entrance exam scores to qualify for admission.
