NMIMS 2026 application form for B Des is expected to open in first week of December 2025. The last date to apply for NIMIMS DAT 2026 will be in first week of March, 2026. The registration fee for NMIMS will be around Rs. 2000/- (non-refundable). NMIM DAT 2026 is expected to be conducted in second week of March 2026.
NMIMS DAT 2026 exam is conducted for admission to the B. Des (Humanising Technology) program offered by NMIMS - Mumbai Campus. The NMIMS admission process will include a Studio Test, Personal Interview, and Portfolio Review. Candidates with valid UCEED scores by the registration end date are exempted from appearing in the Studio Test. However, such candidates have to submit their portfolios and appear for a Personal interview.

What is NMIMS DAT?
Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Design Aptitude Test (NMIMS DAT) is a design entrance exam conducted by SVKM’s NMIMS Deemed-to-be-University every year. The entrance exam is conducted in the form of a studio test, personal interview, and portfolio review round to offer admission to the BDes (Humanising Technology) program offered at the School of Design, NMIMS Mumbai.

NMIMS DAT Eligibility 2026
Candidates seeking admission to the B.Des offered by the SVKM’s NMIMS DAT 2026 must fulfill the following eligibility criteria.
- Candidates should have passed Class 12 or equivalent in any stream from a recognized board with at least 50% marks in aggregate
- Candidates with International Baccalaureate Diploma are also eligible to apply provided they are IB certificate/ & DP awarded candidates and have cleared their IB exam with a total of 24 credits having passed 3 HL & 3 SL mandatorily
- Age bar: Candidates over 25 years of age are not eligible to apply.

NMIMS DAT registration
First, candidates must register on the official exam website and fill out the online NMIMS DAT application form. NMIMS DAT application fee is INR 2,000.
Studio Test
The candidate has to next appear in a Studio Test. Call letters for the Studio Test will be uploaded on the candidate dashboard.
Appear for a Personal Interview and Submit a Portfolio
The personal interview will be conducted in offline mode. The candidate has to show their talent via Sketching / Drawing, / Photography in the portfolio.
NMIMS DAT result
