From CUET UG 2026 onwards, candidates can now choose for five CUET subjects. Earlier, the subject choices were six. With the rediuction in number of CUET subjects, the choices have been reduced. Candidates can opt for five subjects from 23 domain subjects of any stream irrespective of subjects studied in class 12th. 

CUET stands for Common University Entrance Test. It is a national level entrance test conducted by National Testing Agency for UG and PG programs. It is a single window examination for admission to universities in India. It is a single window examination for students to apply to multiple universities across India. This examination is compulsory for admission to all central universities in India.

The difficulty level of the CUET exam varies between moderate and tough. The university shortlists candidates for BTech course based on the merit in last qualifying exam. After completion of the selection rounds, the university releases a merit list to announce the names of the shortlisted candidates.
