The clear answer is no. An online BTech degree is not valid in India anymore. It is not approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) because of a variety of reasons. One important reason is zero practical exposure. Technical programs like BTech are meant for the professional world, which demands technical expertise and advanced skills that is not possible in the online mode. Thus, the total tuition fee to pursue this programme ranges from INR 64,000 to INR 10.3 lakh,  depending on the choice of institute and specialisation. The eligibility criteria for BTech admissions at PIET are as follows:

• Candidate must have studied Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subject and Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship with 45 precent marks in the above subject taken together from any recognised Board/council.
