Q: How do you think the BBA programme help students aspiring a management career?

A: For any student aspiring a management career it's important to have good business-related decision-making skills and a sense of how the corporate world functions. BBA curriculum focuses exactly on the same thing.

The blended curriculum with a perfect mix of theoretical and practical sessions aims at giving students practical exposure so they don’t feel unfamiliar on the first of their jobs and yet the corporates need not spend much time training them. The programme also focuses on the holistic development of every student.

With this professional degree, students get an in-depth understanding of business administration. The course also lays the foundation for those willing to pursue MBA to enhance their management skills.

Q: What all options does a student have who is willing to pursue BBA from VIT AP

A: A student willing to pursue BBA programme at VIT AP has the following options:

• General BBA programme with a duration of three-years
• BBA in Business Analytics  with a duration of three-years
• BBA from University of Michigan, Dearborn (UMD) wherein the student spends first two years at VSB and next two years at UMD
• BS Business Analytics from Arizona State University (ASU) wherein the student spends the first two years at VSB and next two years at ASU

Q: Who should study BBA in Business Analytics?

A: Students who are good in Mathematics and Computers and loves to play with numbers and data and are also ready to take up a desk job in future must opt for BBA in Business Analytics.

The curriculum would include study, analysis and interpretation of big data in organisations. It is an integral part of management science. In organisations and businesses, the decision-making process is tied to Business Analytics.

Q:  What is the admission and selection process for admission to BBA programme at VSB?

A: For all applicants aspiring admission to BBA programme at VSB, it's important to fulfil the eligibility criteria which is to have a minimum aggregate of 60 per cent in Class 10 and 12 in any stream but from recognised board.

For BBA analytics, a minimum of 70 per cent marks are mandatory in Mathematics in Class 12.

As a part of the admission process, the eligible candidates can fill up the online application form on the official website by paying a nominal fee of Rs 950

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview session before which Rs 10,000 is to be deposited. The amount is refundable in case of non-selection. Results will be announced on the same evening proceeding to which students can pay the academic fee, hostel and mess charges.

Q: What is the total cost of three-year BBA or BBA Analytics programme or four-year BBA-UMD or BBA-ASU programme?

A: The cost of all types of BBA programme is the same which is Rs 2.75 LPA. It includes Rs 3,000 of caution fee deposit which is refundable at the end of the programme.

Students willing to choose ASU or UMD option must check the fee online on their respective websites for the two years that students will be spending there.

Students willing to opt for accommodation benefits on campus must pay an additional fee that varies between Rs 95,000 to Rs 1.95 LPA depending on the type of room and mess they choose.

Q: Do you offer any sort of financial assistance or scholarships to students?

A:  Financial situation should not be an obstacle for any students’ education. Considering that, we offer scholarships to students on the basis of their merit scores. Students with a minimum aggregate of 85 per cent in state board and a minimum aggregate of 80 per cent in CBSE are eligible for merit scholarships ranging between 25 per cent to 75 per cent.

Q: Does the institute also offers internship opportunities for students? How does that benefit students?

A:  As mentioned earlier, our curriculum is a perfect blend of theoretical sessions and hands-on training sessions for students. This also includes a mandatory internship experience for students.
