I have become street-smart and there is a yearning for knowledge: Janmeyjay Gope

I have done my schooling from Sree Ayyappa Public School, Bokaro Steel City. I completed my 10th and 12th from the same school. When I was in 12th, I wanted to study in an IIT. I then realized that the only place suitable for IIT preparation was Kota, Rajasthan. I tried my luck and cleared JEE Mains, but unfortunately could not clear IIT Advanced. Then, I tried again but then I realized this is not what I wanted to do and marketing is where my interest lies. Hence, I joined Amity University, Mumbai. Amity University, Mumbai has a very unique and a peculiar course for BBA which is very different than other colleges. They have subjects that cover almost all the fields related to management, for example, Psychology, Sociology, Business Environment, Finance, HR, Marketing and so on. Thus, this made me think that Amity Mumbai is the best option.

There was no entrance test as such for me when I came to Amity. However, there was a personal interview round. You need to get a minimum percentage of 55% in your 12th, after which you will get a phone call from the college for online application. Once you have filled the required details, they will mail you the time and date for which you have to come for the personal interview. You have an orientation round before the interview. I did not go to any coaching to prepare for my entrance as the website clearly mentions the requirements for the entrance exam.

Our college is vast. It is under construction but the college is massive and has large classrooms. Wi-Fi is pretty good and I mostly sit in my room binge-watching TV shows or movies. Sometimes I do go to the college gym as well. Amity University, Mumbai organizes a lot of activities. As a person, it has made me street-smart and has instilled a yearning for knowledge. It helped me get a lot of exposure as it has different kinds of activities going on quite often.
