CBSE 12th Topper 2025 Khushi Tayal, a Commerce student of Orchids NHB Pali, emerged as a school topper with 97.80%. With an excellent academic record, Khushi aims to pursue a career in Chartered Accountancy. In an exclusive interview with Shiksha.com, Tayal shared her CBSE 12th exam preparation routine, career plans, tips for aspirants and more.

The Board announced the CBSE Result 2025 Class 12 on May 13, 2025. CBSE Board Exams 2025 were conducted from February 15 to April 4, 2025.

Students must go through the points below to avoid the CBSE board exam-day hassles:
- All communication devices like mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, headphones, pagers, fitness bands, cameras, etc., are barred from carrying to the examination hall.
- Accessories like wallets, goggles, handbags, and purses are not to be carried.
- Students must not forget to carry all the stationary items that are required to appear for the CBSE 12th board exams as sharing of stationary is not allowed
- However, do not forget to carry your CBSE admit card on all exam days
- Students without the admit crad will not be allowed to write their CBSE board exams
Many students wish to clear their board exams without studying, however they must understand that they will not be able to clear Class 12 exams without securing the minimum passing marks of 33 in all subjects and also 33 percent in aggregate.
In case a student is unable to score the minimum marks in one or two subjects, they will be allowed to sit for the supplementary exams. They are advised to go through the CBSE 12th syllabus and know the exam pattern well so that they are able to plan their preparation. Make notes of important points as you study. Stay confident and focus on your on studies, and you'll be able to pass with flying colors.
Q: Congratulations on your result! How was your reaction after seeing the results? Did you score what you expected?
A: Thank you! I was overjoyed when I saw the results. I had expected to score around 95%, but I ended up scoring more than that, which was a pleasant surprise.

Q: Please tell us something about your family background.
A: My father is a businessman and my mother is a homemaker. My sister is currently pursuing her CA final exams. We are based in Rajasthan.
Q: Please tell me about your stream, did you choose this stream by choice?
There are many options to choose from after completing your class 12 in Commerce stream. You can check out a few below:

Yes, CBSE gives grace marks to those students who are unable to clear the exam by a maximum of 3 marks in the exam.

A: I opted for the Commerce stream by choice. Coming from a business-oriented family, I was always inclined towards commerce, and my sister, who has also excelled academically, guided me through the process.
Q: What was your strategy to score above 95%?
A: My strategy was simple but consistent. I focused on daily revision, solved around 30–40 mock tests and previous year question papers for each subject, and made it a point to revise my notes regularly. Consistency was key.
Q: Did you take any online or offline coaching?
A: I took basic accounting tuition in my city. Apart from that, my school teachers played a crucial role, especially in subjects like Economics and Accountancy. Their support made a big difference.
Q: Who encouraged you the most in this journey?
A: My biggest sources of encouragement were my parents and school teachers. They always reminded me to believe in myself and motivated me whenever I felt low.

Q: What was your routine during CBSE board exam preparation?
A: After school, I attended one hour of Accountancy tuition. I would then spend 3–4 hours revising and solving subject-wise questions. I maintained a consistent study routine. For stress relief, I listened to music and motivational talks. My sister, who has also been a high achiever in Class 10 and 12, guided and supported me throughout.
Q: What are your future plans? Which career path are you aiming?
A: I am currently pursuing the CA course and aspire to become a Chartered Accountant. Seeing many CAs in my family, especially my sister, inspired me to take this path.
Q: What entrance exams are you targeting?
A: Yes, I’m currently preparing for the CA Foundation exam scheduled for September. I’ve joined online coaching to help with my preparation.
Q: What is your dream college/institute?
A: My dream is not tied to a particular college or institute — my goal is to become a Chartered Accountant like my sister and other family members.
Q: What are your hobies?
A: I enjoy swimming, playing the piano, and skating. Music is a big part of our family — my father plays the harmonium, and I love spending time learning and playing different instruments.
Q: Please share some tips for students preparing to appear in CBSE Board Exams 2026.
A: My advice would be to focus on regular revision and stick to NCERT textbooks for notes and learning. Solve as many mock tests and previous year papers as possible, and maintain a consistent study schedule. Consistency truly pays off.
