HBSE 12th Preparation Tips for Chemistry
The BSEH Class 12 exam Chemistry syllabus covers topics such as Non-organic, Organic, and Daily Life Chemistry. To cover these topics thoroughly, students should follow the right preparation tips. Read the section below to know some important preparation tips to help secure a high score in BSEH Class 12 Chemistry exam.
Prepare a schedule: Formulating a schedule is important to prepare for a subject in an organised manner. Go through all the units and prepare a list of chapters to be completed in a day and stick to it. Give adequate time to each topic, revise and practice them to increase the speed of writing gradually. This will help in completing the paper within the stipulated time.
Strategize: Chemistry includes several formulae, experiments, diagrams, organic structures, and of course the periodic table. One of the ways to memorise the elements of the periodic table is to make flashcards. The students can also prepare a periodic table on a chart paper and go through it every day. Learn the elements of the periodic table in small groups of 5-10 and keep revising them over and over again.
Learn the formulae: Practise all the formulae while understanding the entire process of the chemical composition. Draw the chemical structures and find common or differentiating factors from one structure to another. Write all the formulae in a separate notebook and revise at regular intervals.
Make pointers/ short notes: Prepare short notes while studying a particular chapter. This will help in quick revision of all the topics before the exam. Cover and learn all the important topics mentioned in the syllabus and refer to the school notes.
Practise previous question papers: Practising HBSE 12th previous years’ question papers help in analysing the frequency of repeated questions, managing time in a better way, and identifying the areas of improvement. Take as many mock tests as possible after completing the syllabus. Note the time taken to answer questions, mark the errors, and repeat it after a day or so.
Clarify doubts: Clarify all the doubts during preparation by taking constant help from teachers and peers. There might be concepts that need attention. Hence, ensure all the doubts are cleared before revising the topics.
Revision: Revising all the topics in the syllabus is crucial while preparing for board exams. The students must focus on completing the syllabus on time as this will leave ample time to revise each topic thoroughly.
Stop worrying: Worrying will not only add to the exam stress but also lower the confidence level. Do not worry about the results and rather focus on preparing the subject with complete dedication. Try to stay calm and pay equal attention to all the subjects.
