Tamil Nadu 12th Result 2025 Topper Deepika. G scored a whopping 96.6% in Tamil Nadu 12th Board Exam 2025. With a total of 580 marks out of 600 marks, Deepika aims to become a lawyer. The Directorate of Government Examination (DGE) TN released the TN 12th Result 2025 on May 8, 2025, on the official website, i.e. tnresults.nic.in. Talking about her strategy to secure over-the-top in TN 12th Result 2025, Deepika said, "Studying early in the morning helped me memorize everything effectively. I focused on understanding the concepts rather than just mugging up, which made learning much easier. I also used to teach what I had learned to my friends, which not only helped me gain clarity but also reinforced my understanding. Additionally, I made sure to avoid excessive phone usage to stay focused."

Students must not carry the follow items to exam hall.
- Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, headphones, pagers, fitness bands, cameras, etc
- Wallets, goggles, handbags, and purses
They must carry all the stationary items that are required to appear for the Tamil Nadu 12th board exams since sharing of stationary is not allowed. Do not forget to carry your Tamil Nadu 12th admit card on all exam days.
Unfortunately in such a scenario, candidates will have to repeat the year and take the Tamil Nadu 12th exam next year. In the meanwhile, they must analyse their weaknesses and rebuild their preparation strategy so that they can pass the exam with satisfactory marks. They have to work hard and prepare well for the exam. They can also join any tuition centres for the supplementary exam preparation. They are advised to make a proper time table and learn accordingly.
Q: Congratulations on your result! How was your reaction after seeing the results? Did you score what you expected?
A: It was completely unexpected! I had hoped to score above 550, but getting 580 was a big surprise. I was overjoyed and couldn’t believe it at first.
Q: Please tell us something about your family background.
A: We moved to Chennai in 2010. My mother works as a janitor in the school, and my father, after losing his first business, started a fruit business here. My elder sister is in her second year of EEE, and my younger sister has completed her 10th grade. I’ve been studying in this school since 6th grade. Due to financial constraints, it has been tough for my father to provide education for all three of us girls. Thankfully, we benefited from the mid-day meal scheme at school, which provided lunch for both me and my sister. Additionally, the school has given me great support in my education, for which I am extremely grateful.
Q: Please tell about the stream that you are targeting?
A: Commerce Stream

Yes, you can join B Tech through lateral entry admission. For this you have to do Polytechnic Diploma course from government authorized Polytechnic college. It is mandatory to pass 10th grade to join the 3 year Polytechnic Diploma course. Once you successfully complete Polytechnic course, you can appear for the Lateral entry entrance test and if you clear the entrance exam, you will get admission to second year of the B Tech course.
Q: Did you take any online or offline coaching?
A: No, I didn't take any coaching.
Q: Who encouraged you the most in this journey?
A: My classmates encouraged me a lot. There was always this thought that at least one student from the class should achieve a high score. My teachers, in particular, motivated and encouraged me to aim for a centum in the subject
Q: What was your routine during TN 12th board exam preparation?
A: I used to wake up at 3:30 AM and study until 5:30 AM. After that, I would revise at school, followed by some leisure time. Later, I focused on writing tasks and additional revision to reinforce my learning.
Q: What are your future plans? Which career path are you aiming for?
A: I want to become a lawyer after completing my bachelor's degree and then focus on further law education.
Q: What is your favorite subject?
A: My favorite subject is Computer Application.
Q: Are you planning to begin preparing for any entrance exam?
A: No

A: My goal is to write exams and eventually become a magistrate. All of this is driven by my desire to take care of my mom and sister. And personally, I need to travel around the world as a solo trip.

A: I would like to share a few prep tips for students preparing for TN 12th Exam 2026:

- Avoid distractions like mobile phones to stay focused.
- Pay attention to your handwriting; it can make your work more presentable and easier to read.
- Highlight key points to make revision easier.
- Clear any doubts immediately so you don’t carry confusion with you.

Schools do not have the right to withhold admit card of the studnets for TN class 12th board exam. TN 12th admit card is issued by the Directorate of Government Examination, Tamilnadu. You can reach out to the TN board, if the school do not provide the admit card.
