Tamil Nadu 12th Result 2025 Topper Shwetha. P scored a whopping 97.3% in Tamil Nadu 12th Board Exam 2025. With a total of 584 marks out of 600 marks, Swetha aims to pursue MBBS. The Directorate of Government Examination (DGE) TN released the TN 12th Result 2025 on May 8, 2025, on the official website, i.e. tnresults.nic.in.

Swetha is a daughter of a daily wage earner. She credits all her success to the hard work that her father does. "I always use to see my father’s shoulder with pain and stretches when he used to return from his job, this motivated me to study harder and score good marks," said Shwetha. Talking exclusively with Shiksha.com, Shwetha. P from Ramakrishna Vidya Niketan Hr.Sec.School, shared about her TN 12th preparation strategy, future plans, tips for aspirants and more.

Q: Congratulations on your result! How was your reaction after seeing the results? Did you score what you expected?
A: Thank you, ma'am. I had expected more marks, especially in English. Initially, I was a bit disappointed, but later I felt happy as I had scored well in my main subjects.
Q: Please tell us something about your family background.
A: My parents are natives of Thiruvannamalai and settled down in thiruverkadu. My father is a daily wage worker and my mother is a homemaker. I have an elder brother who recently completed his third year of B.Com. Due to some financial difficulties, he is currently working part-time. I have been studying in this school since 6th grade it's been a major part of my life. I used to receive lunch through the mid-day meal scheme, which really helped. After scoring top marks in my 10th board exams, the school reduced my 11th standard fees, and that support meant a lot to me. I am forever thankful for that generous help.
Q: Please tell about the stream that you are targeting?
A: Medical Stream (MBBS)
Q: What was your strategy to score above 95%?
A: I prepared by strictly following the table of contents and regularly working out previous years question papers. To remember formulas, I used to create small stories around them, it made memorizing much easier and more fun.
Q: Did you take any online or offline coaching?
A: No, Coaching can never replace classroom learning. My only coaching is My School where my teachers and staff helped me a lot to fulfill my dreams.
Q: Who encouraged you the most in this journey?
A: Our Teachers constantly encouraged me, telling me to crack the exams and prove myself. My Maths and Biology teachers also kept motivating me from time to time, which really boosted my confidence.
Q: What was your routine during TN 12th board exam preparation?
A: I used to wake up at 6:00 AM and go to bed by 10:30 PM. I made sure to get enough sleep so that my brain stayed active and fresh. I had a fixed study schedule, and I strictly followed it every day to stay consistent in my preparation
Q: What are your future plans? Which career path are you aiming for?
A: I aim to clear NEET and get admitted into a reputed institution to pursue MBBS. After that, I want to specialize by doing an MD in Dermatology
Q: What is your favorite subject?
A: My favorite subject is Biology.
Q: Are you planning to begin preparing for any entrance exam?
A: I am planning to crack NEET Exam and start my higher studies in Medical field.
Q: What is your dream college/institute?
Q: What are your future goals?
A: I aspire to become a doctor and take good care of my family. At the same time, I also have a passion for dance and would love to stay involved in it alongside my career.
Q: Please share some tips for students prepping up to appear in Tamil Nadu HSE +2 Exams 2024
A: I would like to share a few prep tips for students preparing for TN 12th Exam 2026:
1. Start practicing numerical problems in Physics and Chemistry right from the first midterm, it builds a strong foundation.
2. Make sure to revise the extra information given in the side columns of the textbook, they often contain valuable knowledge.
3. Give more importance to textbook content and also make use of book bank materials. Don't just focus on one source.
4. Most importantly, start your preparation early instead of waiting for the final exam consistent learning makes a big difference.
