The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu inaugurated the second academic module of its ongoing Mahatma Gandhi National fellowship academic (MGNF) module of Sankalp under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
The programme, which was inaugurated by IIM Jammu Director Prof BS Sahay, witnessed the presence of faculty members, MGNF team and students. The programme spans 12 days where learning and application will go simultaneously.
What is MGNF programme?
MGN Fellowship (MGNF) is a two-year programme that combines classroom sessions at IIM with an intensive field immersion at the district level to strengthen the district skill administration and the District Skill Committees (DSCs).

The programme has been designed by the initiative of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, and implemented in collaboration with State Skill Development Missions (SSDMs). The purpose of the academic module is to create a learning ecosystem for fellows so that they can contribute towards the strengthening of the district institutions to improve their functioning.
IIM faculty will teach course content under each course module that is consistent with 40 contact days along with off-campus mentoring, field experience and workshops that should form an integral part of the learning.
Module-I of the programme was organised by IIM Jammu from October 25 to November 6, 2021. The fellows joined their respective districts in Jammu and Kashmir, West Bengal, Ladakh, Chandigarh and Puducherry where they worked closely with the district administration to enhance their skills and promote economic development.

The Executive MBA programme offered by IIM Jammu is a two-year blended mode programme for working professionals with a minimum work experience of three years. It is an intensive programme designed for mid/ senior level working executive who could not pursue formal management education.
