IIMB’s EPGP is among top 50 management programmes in the world

IIM Bangalore’s one-year fulltime Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) has been ranked among the top 50 in the Financial Times Global MBA Ranking 2017 released on Monday.

IIMB’s programme has shot up 13 spots to be placed at No 49 in the FT ranking. In the 2016 ranking it was placed at 62.

INSEAD, Singapore, once gain topped the list of top 100 MBA programmes. The other world renowned management schools in the top 50 include, Stanford Graduate School of Business, Harvard Business School, MIT: Sloan, University of California at Berkeley: Haas, etc.

The ranking is based on surveys of the business schools and their alumni. Programmes are assessed according to the career progression of alumni, the school’s idea generation and the diversity of students and faculty.

Professor R. Srinivasan, Director Incharge, IIMB, said: “The credit goes to all faculty colleagues who, as part of the EPGP and Admissions Interview committees, recruit a high-calibre cohort for the programme and as professors put them through a demanding learning experience in their course offerings.”

Professor U. Dinesh Kumar, Chairperson, EPGP, added: “The EPGP Office ensures a high level of support to all students throughout the programme year while the Career Development Services (CDS) strives to match every student's expectations with recruiters’ specific demands.”

Professor Vasanthi Srinivasan, Chairperson, Alumni Relations, said: “The Alumni Office has been continuously engaging with EPGP alums and connecting them with the larger IIMB alumni network, and their efforts over the years are now paying off.”

While, IIM Calcutta made its debut in to the global list at 95 this year, IIM Ahmedabad slipped in rankings from 24th in 2016 to 29th position this year. ISB, the only non-IIM B-school that found a place in the list has been ranked 27th. Read more

Yes, the CUET-UG is an accepted entrance exam for BBA admissions at IIM Bangalore, whose registrations are currently open. Candidates registered for CUET UG are only eligible to appear in the entrance exam, which will be held between May 11,n 2026 to May 31, 2026

No, the CUET-UG is not a mandatory entrance exam for BBA admissions at IIM Bangalore. Aside from the CUET-UG, candidates can also apply through the scores obtained in the JEE Mains. If the candidate has failed to appear for either of the aforementioned exam, they can still apply through the IIMB DBE

Special category candidates at IIM Bangalore are only required to pay 50% of the BBA fees charged from the general category candidates.
