Yes, one can say that but XAT is not the only entrance exam which is considered for admission to Welingkar Institute of Management.  CAT, CMAT, GMAT and ATMA scores are also accepted. The first round of screening is based on the scores in these entrance tests only. 

You generally need a bachelor's degree and may need to take entrance exams like CAT, XAT, or NMAT for MBA programs in HR and then you will have to appear for GD and PI.

Yes, students get selected in VESIM with CMAT percentile above 70. The previous year cut off percentile is 70 for top courses at VESIM.
