The college infrastructure and hostel is very old, but the teaching is excellent.

Placements: About 40% of students get placed in this college. The highest salary is 8 LPA, while the lowest is 1.2 LPA for our course. The top recruiting companies include Prestige, Arbee Structures, and Kalpatharu. Nearly 40% to 50% of students receive internships in various private and government sectors. The roles offered for our course include site engineer, structural design engineer, and project management.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure in this college is very old, and the classrooms do not have any windows. There are no proper facilities or equipment in the laboratories, and there is no Wi-Fi available anywhere on the campus. The library is not well-maintained. As for the hostel, the building lacks painting and plastering, giving it a very old appearance with cracks all around the structure.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and the quality of teaching is also good. However, the course does not prepare students to be industry-ready. The semester exams are often very difficult, but nearly all the students manage to pass, with about 70% to 80% of students passing.

Other: I chose this course out of both passion and profession. The best thing about my course is that I learn new things every day. I need to improve in some design subjects. The college fests are memorable, and the surroundings have a very peaceful nature.

Absolutely, our college is so good.

Placements: My course is Civil Engineering and 85 percent of students are placed in our courses. The highest package in our college is 17 lakhs per annum, and the lowest package in our college is 5 lakhs per annum. Top companies are coming to my college, such as Wipro, TCS, Infosys, IBM, etc., and a total of 85 percent of students get internships from Infosys.

Infrastructure: The facilities are good, and infrastructures are designed well. Wi-Fi facilities are also provided in classrooms, along with good smart boards. Hostels are also provided. Hostel food is good, and they provide good canteen food. They also provide medical facilities in case of emergency.

Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable. The teachers help us in learning new skills, and the course curriculum is relevant, which makes us industry-ready. The semesters are difficult, and the passing percentage is 55 percent.

Really good college for everyone.

Placements: The percentage of students placed in our course is 73%. More than 42 students are placed in top companies such as DFH, Dalmia, PVR and many more. These are the recruiting companies. Internships include planting, construction, and site visits. The highest package offered is 52 LPA, and the lowest package is 4.2 LPA.

Infrastructure: The facilities provided to each student, such as materials and wi-fi connection in class, a lab with all the required materials and hardware, and infrastructure, are good compared to other colleges. The hostel also has food. The canteen and all the facilities are good.

Faculty: The teachers are good and helpful in teaching all subjects, qualified with all higher degrees, and the teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant and industry-ready. The semester was hard to pass but we passed with 72% passing percentage.

It is a government college with the best facilities.

Placements: Less companies offer placements for our branch. Around 2 students from our batch were placed at Cognizant and TCS. Good companies offer placements for other branches. Maximum students get placed from 2nd year. The highest salary package offered is 18 LPA.

Infrastructure: Our college building is good. They are constructing new buildings. Laboratories are average. Library consists of old books but there are no new editions. Canteen is very small but food served is good. Medical facilities are available in our college. Faculty members do not support students regarding sports and cultural activities.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful. Some of them are very supportive and helpful. All faculty members are qualified but teaching quality differs from one another. Semester exams conducted in our college are tough. The pass percentage is 35%.

Review of UBDT College of Engineering, Davanagere.

Placements: The placement scenario of our college is below average. As far as the batch of 2018 is concerned, 30% of the students got placed collectively from all the branches. The condition is worse for the civil department. Bharat Electronics Limited was one of the companies that visited our college this academic year, and only 3 students were selected. The college doesn't provide any placement training.

Infrastructure: The college is very old. Therefore, the buildings are in a very dilapidated condition. The CS block is comparatively new. However, all the departmental buildings are repaired and renovated. A new building to accommodate several departments is under construction. A new auditorium is also being constructed.

Faculty: The college strictly follows VTU's course curriculum and schedule. Faculty members are highly qualified. Majority of the faculty in the civil department are the alumni of various IITs, IISC or NITs. I don't think you will find the qualified and experienced faculty than them in other engineering colleges in Davanagere, Karnataka.

Other: The student body conducts an annual event called Chaitra.

A review about University BDT College of Engineering.

Placements: There are no better placements. Only 2-3 CSE, MCA & MBA students got placed. Due to BEL company recruitment, this year placement was good. The placements at our college are low because our college is a government college, so the placements are rare.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not bad in our college as told. Our college is government's college, and there is no good infrastructure facility. There is no good drinking water facility. There is no good canteen or hotel as on the campus. Overall, it is not bad.

Faculty: Our college has got the best faculty as many of them were graduated from IITs and NITs. Also, they have vast experience of 30 years. Our curriculum is based on Vishveshwarayya Technological University's curriculum, and it is our university.

Other: Government mainly gives the scholarship like Vidyasiri, SC, ST, minority etc. There are no other activities.

Review of University B.D.T College of Engineering

Placements: From our department, Civil-related placements are too low and the college administration doesn't support us enough for our placements. By our own interests, we have to attend placements and any other related activities or trainings. They mandate us to participate in that without missing the classes .

Infrastructure: As it's a government college and the oldest college, the infrastructure is not that good. Food and all is good in the hostel but the rooms are not that much comfortable. They encourage us for sports and games along with our academics and give us chances to participate in inter-college sports.

Faculty: Teachers are highly knowledgeable and very kind to help students. They help students in overall academics irrespective of their subject or other such matters. Along with the theoretical knowledge, they try their best to provide practical knowledge also.

Other: The faculties are very good and only the infrastructure is not okay. Other than that, this college is awesome.

Review of University BDT College of Engineering.

Placements: Our college does not provide many placements. Hardly 5-10 students get placed here. As it's a government college, so faculty members are also not much worried about placement issues. Companies visit mainly for CSE and ECE students. But for our branch, companies once very rarely.

Infrastructure: Our college does not provide Wi-Fi facility to students on the entire campus. There is an internet centre on campus. Classrooms are not bad. Laboratories are old with outdated equipment. The library has the best infrastructure in our college, but there is no UPS in it.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are one of the best faculty in Karnataka. Almost all our faculty members are from IITs. Most of them are PhD holders in their streams. The course curriculum is according to the VTU, which is one of the worst university in India with an outdated syllabus.

Other: Scholarships are offered according to caste and income basis by state or central government and based on our scores. Fest named Chaitra is conducted once in a year, which is useless. Our college does not conduct extracurricular activities for students. Campus surroundings are not good.
