B.A. (Hons.) in Business Economics - Batch of 2025

Great opportunities and great potential. As of present, things are good.
Placements: I am pursuing a B.A. (Hons) in Business Economics at Aryabhhatta College, University of Delhi. The placement scenario for our course is average. The highest is 6 LPA, the lowest is 2.5 LPA, and the average is 4 LPA. Small to mid-sized firms such as ICICI Bank, Concentrix, and Decathlon have participated. Approximately 45-50% of students secured internships, with roles including Marketing, Sales, Research, and Content Development
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for Business Economics at Aryabhhatta is decent. The classrooms are spacious and well ventilated with projectors available in most rooms. Wi-Fi is there but speed can be consistent at times. The library is air-conditioned and well-stocked with books and journals. There are computer labs for practical application for some subjects but they are common labs for all courses. There is no hostel facility on the premises.
Faculty: The faculty for the Business Economics course is fairly good. Most professors are qualified with UGC NET certification. They are approachable, helpful, and kind. Teaching standards are good. The curriculum covers core subjects like microeconomics, macroeconomics, states, finance, and business strategies. However, they do not make students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult for this course and require preparation and focus as it is a professional degree. The pass percentage is high ( around 85-90%).
Other: I chose this course because of its unique combination of economics, states, and business theory. The best thing about this course is that it is very practical and with the right focus and improvements can do wonders for skill development. It could greatly benefit from workshops and certification. Use of advanced software like R, Python, Excel, and industry-level training and practices. Annual fest, connectivity, food, and ECA are all very good.

Underrated college of Delhi University which needs to be highlighted as it has potential.
Placements: Placements are not that good. There is a placement cell in which students connect with companies that are hiring for different profiles, but the offers and jobs are not that good. Most students search for jobs and get placed on their own. Top roles include researchers in economics, analyst roles in business and business development, and many more.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is well-maintained, neat, and clean. The campus is green, with a beautiful garden that has different types of flowers. Classrooms are well-designed with good quality desks and furniture. There is a big ground and facilities for all sports and games. Wi-Fi connectivity is not that good. The library is well-maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are very friendly and will help you anytime you reach out to them. You will never feel any hesitation with them. All faculty members are very nice, but the Business Economics department is far better in all aspects. The difficulty level of exams is average and depends on how much you have studied. There are 6 semesters in 3 years, 2 semesters each year.
Other: I wasn't even aware of this course; I was planning to opt for business management studies, but unfortunately, this course was allocated to me through an entrance exam, DU JAT. As I wanted to be a regular student, I opted for this, but later I realized that this course is more realistic and useful than any other. Everything is on point in this course, but they should be more focused on practical skills. Events are organized, but fests are infrequent.

Absolutely delighted that I got into this college.
Placements: Previous year trends show that college has a good placement cell, which offers a wide range of placement opportunities, but the packages could be better. The placement cell is actively working towards seeking better opportunities for the students of the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure could be better. There are no Ac's in the classrooms. Wi-Fi only works sometimes. But apart from these two things, other facilities are definitely above par. The library has loads of resources available for students. There is no hostel facility in this college.
Faculty: The faculty is absolutely amazing, who are experienced in what they do and are extremely helpful if you reach out to them. So the teaching quality is definitely above par. The course curriculum is also relevant, as this is a professional course and not a theoretical course. Exams can be a little difficult, but nothing over the top.
Other: The campus crowd is absolutely amazing and definitely one of the best things about this college.

An awesome college with decent placements and crowd.
Placements: Placements for our course are really good since it is a professional course. The median package was reported to be at 6.98 lacs per annum which is higher than majority of the other colleges. The highest package offered was 22 lacs par annum by DE SHAW.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good. It has a decent ground and a sports room. The washrooms are okay. A new building is under construction which would be ready within a year. After the construction of the new building which is fully air conditioned, we would have the biggest campus in South campus colleges.
Faculty: The curriculum is really good since it is a combination of BMS and Economic Hons. It is practical as well as theoretical. The teachers are awesome too as they are ever ready to help the students with any doubts. You would need to study regularly and be thorough with your notes since the exams schedule is let out just a week before the exams at times.
Other: You will get a decent placement if you work on your academic life as well as professional life which is skill developing and being a part of various societies.

This college defines that a small campus can also be filled be joy.
Placements: Very few students get placements here. In fact, from our course, only a single student got a placement last year. We do have a placement and internship cell and they provide us with internship opportunities, which are really good but most of the students consider searching for internships and placements off campus. The top roles offered are sales and marketing and business development.
Infrastructure: Our college doesn't have a hostel. The canteen is good and well-equipped with hygienic food, and there is a library with a Wi-Fi facility as well. The computer lab, psychology lab, and seminar rooms are there as well. Everything is well sanitized and all the computers in the lab work very well. We even have a gym and a sports room where we can work out too. There is a table tennis court too and we can rent certain sports equipment to play. Although the classrooms don't have AC facility, we manage somehow.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers were very helpful in teaching us the syllabus. Although our current faculty has been replaced with a new one, it isn't as good as the old one, so we have to resort to YouTube for our learning. Yes, this course's curriculum is very relevant and it makes the students industry-ready too. I like the practical component of this course and we are even going to study marketing in the next semester. Semester exams are easy to moderate to difficult; almost all the students pass except a few.
Other: I chose this course because I want to do an MBA in the future and this course makes me ready for an MBA since it is inclined towards business and economics. I like the practical aspect of this course as compared to conventional economics. Course. There are a lot of events in our college, ranging from society festivals to competitions and sports festivals. We have an annual festival called Elixir, which is really joyful and fills the campus with joy. This college has scholarships as well. There is a lot of scope for extracurricular activities, too. We have sports like football, volleyball, and cricket to play and participate in intercollegiate tournaments as well. The crowd is kind of mixed, with people coming from all ethnicities.
