July 28, 2025: In a heartening display of environmental consciousness, the NSS unit of B.P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology organized a tree plantation drive under the banner “Green Today, Clean Tomorrow”. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and volunteers, all united by a common mission, to build a greener and cleaner future. Armed with saplings and shovels, the volunteers planted a wide variety of trees across the campus and nearby areas. The initiative was not only about planting trees but also about instilling a sense of responsibility towards the environment. “With every sapling we plant, we nurture a better world,” echoed one of the student volunteers. The NSS coordinators highlighted the importance of such activities in promoting sustainable practices among the youth. The campaign served as a reminder that meaningful change begins with small, consistent steps — and that each tree planted today brings hope for a healthier tomorrow. B.P. Poddar Institute Students Excel at ESPEKTRO 25

March 28, 2025: Students from B.P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology achieved remarkable success at ESPEKTRO 25, the prestigious technical festival organized by Kalyani Government Engineering College (KGEC). Competing under the team name “Ares,” the students showcased exceptional technical skills and teamwork in the robotics competitions, securing top positions in multiple events. Team Ares clinched the 1st and 2nd positions in Ro-Soccer and secured the 3rd position in Ro-Turbulence, demonstrating their expertise in robotics and innovation. BPPIMT's Team Dynamo Shines at TechXcelerate 2025 with Innovative Project

March 4, 2025: Team Dynamo from the Department of Electrical Engineering at B.P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology (BPPIMT) has made the institution proud by securing the 2nd Runner-Up position at TechXcelerate 2025, organized by the University of Engineering and Management (UEM).

The team, comprising Mr. Bishal Tarafdar and Ms. Krishnakali Sarkar, showcased their innovative project model, “Energy Generator of Urban Roads,” under the mentorship of Mr. Aritra Ghosh. Their project demonstrated a groundbreaking approach to harnessing energy from urban roads, reflecting their creativity, technical expertise, and commitment to sustainable engineering solutions.

TechXcelerate 2025, a prestigious competition featuring some of the brightest minds from various institutions, witnessed intense competition in the Project Model Competition. Despite the high standards and tough competitors, Team Dynamo’s project stood out for its ingenuity and practical application, earning them well-deserved recognition.

BPPIMT Student Secures Third Place in Wevicle 5.0 Ideathon

May 27, 2024: B.P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology (BPPIMT) celebrates Electrical Engineering student Mr. Mookul Paul's impressive third-place finish at the prestigious Wevicle 5.0 Ideathon. This competition, hosted by leading Kolkata engineering college Techno Main Saltlake, brought together innovative ideas from students across various institutions.

Mr. Paul's project shone thanks to its groundbreaking approach to Home Energy Management Systems. His focus on Demand Side Management (DSM)-based smart meter technology has the potential to revolutionize residential energy use. BPPIMT Triumphs at Paridhi 2.24: Team Devta Secures Dual Victories

May 20, 2024:BP Poddar Institute of Management & Technology (BPPIMT) is celebrating a spectacular achievement after Team Devta won first place in two important categories at Paridhi 2.24, an annual tech festival held by Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology. In a highly competitive field, Team Devta won both the 15kg War and Robo Race categories, demonstrating their remarkable engineering abilities and imaginative prowess. The 15kg War event, a highlight of the festival, featured robots from several institutes competing in a test of durability, strategy, and control. Team Devta's robot dominated the arena, showcasing outstanding design and resilience.

The Robo Race category assessed autonomous robots' speed and agility as they navigated an obstacle-filled track. Team Devta's robot finished the course with amazing speed and precision, gaining another first-place finish.
The victory in Paridhi 2.24 demonstrates the dedication, hard effort, and technical ability of BPPIMT students. Their accomplishment demonstrates the institute's dedication to promoting innovation and quality in robotics and engineering. BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology (BPPIMT) Students Shine in SAP ICOE Hackathon 2024

May 16, 2024: In a spectacular display of ability and ingenuity, a team of BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology (BPPIMT) students accomplished a huge milestone at the SAP ICOE Hackathon 2024. Sayandip Bhattacharyya, Rahul Sinha, and Parthiv Modak from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering won the competition, placing them among the top three of nearly 400 teams.

The hackathon was organized by the International Center of Excellence for AI, Data Science, and Futuristic Technologies in partnership with the SAP community in Kolkata, and it ran from April 4th to April 27th, 2024. Throughout the event, participants were charged with demonstrating their abilities and ingenuity in designing creative solutions using cutting-edge technology. The BPPIMT team's remarkable success demonstrates not just their passion and expertise, but also the institute's commitment to developing talent and cultivating a culture of excellence in technology and innovation.

The pupils' efforts culminated on April 27, 2024, when they were awarded awards at the esteemed Biswa Bangla Convention Center. This acknowledgment is a credit to their diligence, creativity, and capacity to meet the demands of the quickly changing technology industry.  BPPIMT complimented the student's excellent performance and expressed great delight in their accomplishment. Team Devta from BPPIMT Shines at KSHITIJ 2024, Securing 2nd Position and Destructive Bot Award in Robo War 8kg Category

February 26, 2024: At the prestigious tech festival KSHITIJ 2024, hosted by IIT Kharagpur, Team Devta made an unforgettable impression, showcasing the engineering talent of BPPIMT students to new heights. In the highly competitive field of robotics, the gifted group demonstrated their abilities and perseverance by placing second in the Robo War 8 kg division on January 21st. They not only secured a podium place but they were given extra credit for building the 8-kilogramme category's most destructive bot. 

Throughout the tournament, Team Devta showed remarkable technical dexterity and strategic intelligence, driven by an unwavering spirit and a love for innovation. Their path to success was characterised by intense planning sessions, many hours of preparation, and a never-ending quest for perfection. 

In the Robo War 8 kg class, Team Devta demonstrated exceptional engineering skills and tactical intelligence in a battlefield rife with fierce fighting and high-stakes manoeuvres. Their robot engaged in a succession of high-action encounters, winning against difficult opponents thanks to its powerful armour and arsenal of cutting-edge weapons. 

As they revel in their accomplishment, Team Devta is a brilliant illustration of the potential and ability developed at BPPIMT. These young inventors are ready to make a lasting impact in the field of robotics and engineering because they have even bigger goals in mind. 

BPPIMT Robotics Club Triumphs at Celesta'23 with Team DEVTA's Victory in Aqua Rush

February 26, 2024: The Robotics Club at BPPIMT has once again shown its strength on the big arena by winning the coveted first place in the Aqua Rush competition at Celesta'23, the Techno Management Festival of IIT Patna. This is a fantastic exhibition of creativity and teamwork. The winning team, appropriately called DEVTA, was made up of gifted kids with a variety of engineering backgrounds who demonstrated their skills in robotics and engineering. 

Probudhha Bikas Chatterjee, Priyanshu Mandal, and Shoeb Mir from the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) programme were among the team members, led by Sagnick Routh and Rishav Thakkar from the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department. They made a lasting impact on the judges and audience alike with their teamwork and unwavering determination, which helped them reach the top spot. 

While the festivities at BPPIMT go on, Team DEVTA's victory is a brilliant illustration of the organization's dedication to developing talent and promoting an innovative culture.
