B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2020
2.8
I am satisfied with this college because the faculty members help a lot in orals and unit tests.
Placements: As it was a newly established college, mostly placements will be from nearby small companies. As college was situated in the village area, and none of the companies try to visit there. Students can try off-campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for hostel was good. But hostel was 1-2 Km far from the college. It provides bus facility and will be picked up and dropped daily. The building was good and fully glass finish. The washrooms were good, and it feels like premium homes. Most of the students were impressed with washrooms.
Faculty: Faculty members for mechanical engineering were average, and depends on how many students were attending the lecture. Many students mostly bunk the college due to train timings. As the college was situated 4 km away from nearby Vangani Station, and train timings had a 1-hour gap after each train. So most students go early as they come from far places.
Other: Every year fest was held, and it was enjoyable. Many students from medical and other branches meet up. Even tech-related competition was also arranged. The 10-15 days of the fest were enjoyable. Sports, computer gaming, robotics, etc., many were arranged. But sometimes due to budget problems mostly were canceled.

I am dissatisfied because of the distance from the college to the railway station.
Placements: I am in the mechanical branch, so there are no placements for our branch. For the IT branch, only 2 companies visit our college for the placements. Hardly 2 or 3 students get placed, and that too they did not get placed in an MNC company. Students were hoping to get placed in MNC, but they got placed in a small organisation.
Infrastructure: The food served in the canteen is average, and students used to eat that only because there was no other option rather than going to the station back, which is 5 kilometres from our college. The infrastructure of our college is great. Wi-Fi facility is available only in some areas. The library is the only perfect thing in the college. Labs do not have proper instruments, as shown in the brochure.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were not helpful. They did not like that we were growing. They always fail us. The course curriculum is relevant, but it does not make students industry-ready. Passing the internals are very difficult as the teachers used to fail the students.
Other: I have chosen this course because mechanical is an evergreen course. Better practical knowledge rather than assignments and stuff should be given to students. Events and fest are the only best part of the college, and they are very well-organised here.

The infrastructure of our college is quite good. Teachers are helpful, but there are no placements.
Placements: In our mechanical engineering course, there are about 60 students. Our college didn't conduct placements, and not even a single company visits our college for placements. Our college doesn't provide internships.
Infrastructure: There is a good number of facilities like Wi-Fi, etc., but mostly Wi-Fi is available only for computer labs. Our college has facilities for our top courses like CAD-CAM, machine shop and every other practical subject's lab. There are a library, computer labs and also other practical labs. The hostel is pretty good, and the quality of the food served in the mess is also pretty decent. Other than this, medical facilities are also available. They provide us space for almost all sports and games.
Faculty: Teaching staff members here are quite helpful and well qualified. They all have a good amount of knowledge of the subject which they teach, so the overall teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is not much relevant, and students will not get ready for the industry.

The college has excellent infrastructure and surroundings, but I'm dissatisfied with the placements.
Placements: Only a few placements are provided for our senior batch. Only 5-10% of the students were placed. I don't exactly know the highest and average salary packages offered to them. But, I'm sure that it will not exceed Rs. 25,000 per month. I am not aware of the roles offered to students. None of the students in our course has got an internship from college and so is there any stipend. A placement cell is available, but I don't know about that.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. The Wi-Fi facility is provided on the campus. Classrooms in the college are good and clean. The library is excellent. Medical facilities are not available. Sports and games competitions are average. Food quantity served in the canteen is good, but the quality is below average. There is no official college hostel available.
Faculty: Faculty members of mechanical engineering are good. HOD and other professors are helpful and are good at teaching. We didn't get industry exposure. The course curriculum is useful. Some of the teachers are helpful, but they aren't knowledgeable. Few teachers like HODs and 1-2 professors are highly qualified.
Other: Events conducted in the college are good. But, the campus crowd remains low even during the events. Campus surrounding is under development now, but it is excellent. There is a little problem with the dust in the surrounding as it is everywhere in a huge amount. Extracurricular activities are conducted in college but not on a large scale.

This college is definitely not going to help you build your career as there are no placements here.
Placements: The college doesn't provide placement opportunities for the students of any stream. Probably 1-2 students were placed from the IT or computer science department. As far as I know, even those jobs are from the BPO sector. You have to build your career on your own. Sometimes college provides references for pool campus drives, but even those placement drives aren't helpful enough.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is quite good. The infrastructure is the only aspect in which the college scores its best. Labs are well designed and well-equipped. The canteen is below average with only a few varieties of food. The labs in the mechanical department are well equipped with a a separate shop floor.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, but they are not well-qualified and knowledgeable. A few faculty members are excellent and knowledgeable in their subjects. Only conventional teaching methods are used here. The student to faculty ratio is 60:1. The college didn't organise a single industrial visit throughout the four years of my course.
Other: Girls to boys ratio is poor here, and it's even worse for the mechanical branch. Our college organises many events like freshers' party and farewell ceremonies, but they collect funds from the students to conduct those events. The campus crowd comprised of different varieties of people. Most of the students of this college are local people. There is no place to hang out here. There is a limited number of trains available here, but transportation is very dull. The college has its own transportation facilities, and they provide transportation up to Vangani Station. However, transport facilities are poor here.

One can get a great environment to study here, only if there was good staff to support the students.
Placements: Placement opportunities are very less at our college. You will get good placements if you get above 6 or 7 pointers, and it is possible only for very bright students or the ones who are devotees of the staff. Getting such high pointer is not possible for an average student as the staff do not give internal marks as needed. So the guarantee of placements is much lesser than other colleges.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of college is good, but never choose a college based on its infrastructure because the infrastructure of any college is built by mainly using the money of students they charge as a fine or as development fees. As one can see, B. R. HARNE is an example of such colleges.
Faculty: Faculty are the main reason why the college is blamed. The faculty are worse except some good teachers who do their work without caring about the other staff. Some of the faculty members are moody and have very less knowledge compared to a degree professor. The teaching of professors is all from the textbook, and they tell the same thing as in the book. Assignments are given to students from last year students assignment written work. Everything is a mess here. Student association charges money from students for the sake of functions, but no such functions are organised with that money, and they don't give a receipt for the money paid.
Other: Events organised at the college are good as they are organised by the students and some of the good staff members. Again, there will be a big problem when students need some financial help from the college for organising events. The proposal will be rejected. Sports are also conducted by students and covered in 3 days as per the order from college. Sports are conducted only for the purpose of website advertising pictures they want to upload.

Good with structure, average with maintenance.
Placements: The placements are given in IBM, Mahindra, Toyota, etc. Approximately, around 30% of the students were placed in 2017. The salary for freshers is around Rs. 12000-16000 per month. The company offers roles as Jr. engineer, supervisor for freshers. For beginners, the placement from college is helpful, and the college is improving the number of placements for students.
Infrastructure: There are sufficient classrooms, and library, annual functions and events are all good. The workshop quality is good for mechanical students. The canteen food quality is okay. There is a problem of load shading on Friday in the entire area. The cleaning is average. Non-teaching staff are less helpful.
Faculty: The teaching staff are good, helpful, but less qualified and less experienced. The teaching quality is average not up to the mark. The student-faculty ratio is 60:1. If the staff members are not consistent with the subject, they can be changed anytime from one subject to another.

Satisfied because of faculty members.
Placements: 2016 pass-out batch students were placed in various companies. 50% of the students have placed in the respective companies. Rs. 12,000 per month is the highest salary offered to a student and Rs. 7,000 per month is the lowest salary offered to a student. The companies offered the role for development side, testing, front end or back end as a developer for a particular language.
Infrastructure: In our college, very strong Wi-Fi is there in the whole campus. The labs are very clean, and the library is also very peaceful. The medical facilities are also there. The students play the sports and games. Our canteen food is very tasty or non-hygienist. Our college hostel is very clean, and students can stay and study peacefully.
Faculty: In our college, a very strong squad of faculty members are there, who make sure to help the students. The teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and well knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also very good and also teaching methods are also good. Our college arranges educational contest to help the students.
