B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2020
2.8
It is a waste of time and money in mechanical engineering due to the worst placement scenario.
Placements: Placements for mechanical, civil or electrical departments are the worst. Around 10% of the batch get placed that too as a sales executive, and the remaining batch is unemployed, which leave students frustrated. Students are left with the option to join a sales job or prepare for GATE.
Infrastructure: You can only issue two books from the library at a time and that too for ten days only. Moreover, labs are just average. The food served in the hostel is of below-average quality. Many students leave the hotel if they get other option by taking rooms outside.
Faculty: Only a few teachers are good and rest all are just average. The curriculum taught in all of the AKTU colleges is highly irrelevant in case of mechanical engineering, nothing is taught which has demand in the industry. You have to be on your own to get a decent job in the core sector.
Other: An event named Utkarsh is good here, but since management seems to be uninterested this, the fest is losing its charm.

My college gives all knowledge related to course and also helps in personality development.
Placements: Atleast 50% students were placed from my college. The highest package 15LPA. The lowest 2.4LPA and average 6LPA were offered. Top recruiting company I guess was Byju's. 100% student got internship from my course in indian railway. Top roles offered was in sales and marketing.
Infrastructure: Almost all kind of facilities were available in college. Smart lab, neat and clean classroom, mess canteen, infirmary, cricket, football tennis, badminton, stadium, fully isolated and ventilated big auditorium of capacity of around 2000 students. Doctors are in infirmary for 24*7.
Faculty: Teachers were highly professional in their job, had a great teaching experience, some had a mastery or Ph.D. in their course. Their teaching quality was awesome and they were friendly with student. Curriculum is relevant and do make student industry ready.
Other: I choose this course because I was interested in it. I enjoy it and completely relate it with my daily day to day things I use and see.

It has supportive faculty and good placements as compared to other colleges in Lucknow.
Placements: Around 55% to 60% of the students get placed from our college. The highest salary offered is Rs.70,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs.12,000 per month. Top recruiting companies were Adani Group, Byju's, Extramarks, TCS, Oppo, etc. Roles offered were as a site engineer, production manager, etc. The highest salary package offered was around 4.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was around 1.5 LPA. The average salary package offered was 3.4 LPA. Around 65% of the students got internships in various companies like Tata motors, HAL, Mahindra, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure availability for all the courses is quite good enough. The quality of the food served in the hostel is average. Medical facilities are also good enough. Canteen is fully air-conditioned (it has even CCD), for games and sports there is a stadium inside the college which is quite big.
Faculty: The teachers are quite supportive, and they always motivate every student. The teaching quality of almost every teacher is good, but some teachers just come to class to pass the time with no interest in teaching. If a student is serious in his studies, there's no problem for him/her to carry on with studies. But, some training will be required to work as practical knowledge is very important.
Other: I always like machines and want to know how they are made, so I chose mechanical engineering. The best thing about this course is if you pursue this course seriously, then you can do anything as it covers almost all concepts. But, it is the toughest course to pursue. I always want that there should be personality development classes for all the courses so that students who are from a rural area can improve themselves. There are different student councils for students, and students who want to do extracurricular activities can also join them. Our college organises annual fest every year, and the campus crowd include around 2,5000 students. Our college also provides scholarships to almost every student according to government rules and regulations. In front of our college, there is a crown mall, complex and every source.

The college is good in terms of infrastructure, but placements and teachers were not up to the mark.
Placements: For 2016, in our batch, about 30% of students were placed, being in the core branch of Mechanical engineering, we were expecting some of the core companies to visit our campus. But only Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) visited our campus for major recruitment of students and apart from that 1-2 other companies also visited but hired only 3-4 students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was pretty good. We had almost all the labs, classrooms and library in working condition. Hostel facilities were also good, rooms in the hostel were 3 sharing, and no air-conditioned facility was provided. Food quality was average, but overall fees were too high as compared to another college hostel in the nearby area.
Faculty: Few teachers were experienced and possessed good knowledge, but many were new recruits which only had 2-3 years of experience, they were the ones who were itself engineers and got the teaching job pretty easily. The course curriculum was decided by Uttar Pradesh technical university, which provided us with a degree since our college was affiliated with it.

Satisfied because of faculty, good placement in 2018 as compared to 2017, Good infrastructure and ho
Placements: The record of placement is best for Computer Science and electrical branch. In 2017 only 3 companies of mechanical core branch have come for placement. But in 2018 it's been a improvement and companies like Ashok Leyland, Mahindra, Excite have visited our campus and made our college placement better for mechanical.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the BBDNIIT is good with a spacious classroom and greenery environment. The classroom is highly equipped and have a good and supportive staff. The lab is highly equipped with all the facilities available. The college have provided with a hospital for all their students and a hospital is provided for hostel student in case of emergency and all the expenses will be taken by the authorities only.
Faculty: All the faculty members have a supportive nature and a friendly attitude towards student. Faculty members have a ready to help attitude towards college students. The course curriculum is very easy and can be understood by the student itself. The syllabus is very broad and covers all the topic which is included in a competitive exam.
Other: The hostel facilities is also provided with a good food and good room. Each and every type of sport is encouraged by our college and a stadium is provided for cricket and football and other indoor sports. Matches like Ranji always happens in the stadium.

The rise of BBDNIIT in 2018.
Placements: The placement for 2017-18 batch is far better than that of 2016-17. About 50% students were placed from mechanical branch whereas a quite decent no. Of students were placed from other branches like CS IT, EE and CE. The highest package offered to a student is 3.50 Lacs per annum. There are about 60 companies visited the campus so far likewise of Ashok Leylands, Byjus, policy bazaar, TCS, etc. The college have a training and placement cell which look after all the internships and campus selection process very effectively.
Infrastructure: The college have all the facilities available for the students to study and their entertainment. Whole campus is Wi-Fi connectivity for free Internet access, neat and clean well ventilated classrooms, labs with all required instruments. A very spacious library is there with books of different writers of the subjects so that students choose from them as they were interested in and feel easily understandable. OPD is there for medical help for any time 24 hours due to hostellers. For games there is a separate ground for Bbd students known as (Akhilesh das gupta stadium) where all sports were organised by college.
Faculty: The faculty members were well qualified and well behaved. Over 60% faculty members have experience of more than 10 to 15 years. They try their best to help students to get through the point using projectors and sometimes they go to one by one if it demands. Industrial visits and workshops were organised by the department which is really very good for practical knowledge.
Other: BBD group organises it's annual festival called UTKARSH which includes cultural events, many of gaming events, technical fest in which other colleges were also allowed, DJ night, singing dancing and instruments playing competitions etc. Prakhar shree student of civil 3rd year got AIR-105 in GATE 2018 with scoring 80 out of 100 adding one more star to the Crown.

BBDNIIT review by a mechanical engineering student.
Placements: As per my stream, which is mechanical, not many companies are coming to my college, yet a few companies like FACE, Byju's, Ashok Leyland, Green Ply, Tata Consultancy Services limited came, and lots of other companies came for computer science, information technology and electronics branch.
Infrastructure: My college has a pretty good reputation in Lucknow, so the infrastructure has its own standards and is much better than other colleges. It has neat and clean toilets for both girls and boys. All classrooms have good lighting, fans and ventilation, and the seats are comfortable.
Faculty: All faculty members have good knowledge to share with students, and they are well effective in properly giving it. There are lots of graduation and post graduation courses provided like B.Tech in most of all branches, B. Pharma, BBA, BCA, M.Tech, MBA and MCA respectively.
Other: There are many events that happen, but in all of those, Utkarsh is the most popular among students.

A college of good memories. If you want a memorable life, go and pick a course. Worth the time.
Placements: The placement was below average, a few companies came with the package of 10,000/m, picked some boys. The workplaces were Pune and Bangalore. TCS came as a hope, but it picked 5 students out of 180. There is no hope for the mechanical students. The computer science, IT, and MBA have many numbers of placements. The electrical and electronics have only hope for the companies to come. This college is good if you want to complete only the graduation. No one helps you to get placed, but only for graduation. Then make your life good.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are average with no a/c. It has a library, but you will be forced to attend all the classes when you think about the library. There will be your lunchtime and library too at the same time. Labs are good. The medical facilities are good. For sports and games, you have to take multiple signatures of the authorised person, then you will be allowed. There is a big ground named Akhilesh Das Stadium opened during Ranji matches.
Faculty: As a mechanic student, my experience was pretty good. We feel stressed at the time of sessional assignments and GP. The teachers have only one dialogue, i.e., "I'll cut your internal marks". Having 94% attendance and 83% marks in sessional, I owned 355 marks out of 600 in the internals. The faculty was good at own, they will never understand what you want.
Other: A good canteen, coffee point, CCD inside the college, and most important PMC (piya milan chauraha) to have good memories. Good places near the college to hang out with friends bunking the college. You will get the good food and good friend inside the college because once you get in, there is no way to go out. There are security guards at all the three gates. Parking for your vehicles is available, and they will charge you for that. PNB Bank and ATM are also there on the campus. There are three complexes outside the college, there is everything you need.

Yes, you can easily get that college, but the problem is that you can get much better college than the BBDIT, as with this rank, you can easily get ABES and many other colleges.
