Placements: As a current student of B.Sc (Hons. ) in zoology at Barasat Government College, I can provide insights into our placement scenario. Approximately 70% of students in our course were placed in various sectors. The highest package offered was around 6 LPA, while the lowest was 2.5 LPA, with an average package of LPA. Top recruiting companies include Biocon, Zoological Survey of India, and various pharmaceutical companies. Top roles offered include Research Associate, Wildlife Biologist, and laboratory Technician.
Infrastructure: Barasat Government College provides decent infrastructure for the Zoology department. Our college has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: About 60% of students are placed in our course. The highest salary offered in our course is approximately Rs. 20,000 per month, and the average is Rs. 15,000 per month. The top roles offered are biologist, teacher, and professor. Approximately 45% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Wi-Fi facilities and labs are of average quality, but classrooms and the library are good. Different types of books are available.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum does not make students ready for industrial jobs. Semester exams are not that difficult. The pass percentage is 33%.
Other: I chose this course because I like it. There will be good opportunities in the future. It is the most trending course.

It's nothing special than other government oriented colleges.
Placements: It's a good place for education. All professors are so good and helpful. But it's also like other government colleges, nothing special. There is no placement facility, but we have the option to do a master's in basic science subjects. But there is very competition, because all the good students are present in that college.
Infrastructure: Our laboratory is so good and upgraded. We have a canteen and medical facilities, and the most important part is that there is no union.
Faculty: Our teachers are very strict and rude, so we didn't get any help from them, and the big syllabus is also never completed by teachers, which is why we suffered a lot. But it makes us strong and self-dependent. But we have mental pressure to achieve good results. Teachers are also very well behaved and respected, but here is a problem, like all colleges, that they are kind of rude and not friendly.
Other: I chose my course because after Zoology Hons, we can go any medical or pharmaceutical field. The teacher should be friendly. It's a good government college, everything is organized.

Placements: The percentage of students placed was quite low. The highest package offered was 8,00,000 per annum, and the lowest was 3,00,000. The average package is around 20,000 to 30,000 per month, and various wildlife-related activities are available as companies approach for recruitment.
Infrastructure: The college offers proper Wi-Fi with one hour of usage at a time. Classrooms are well-ventilated, and ACs are provided in each honors department. The library is not very impressive, but the canteen provides quality food. Sports facilities are well-maintained, and the college participates in every intercollege sports event.
Faculty: All the teachers are highly qualified with PhDs. They are very helpful and teach in a unique way, clearing our doubts easily. They focus on practical demonstrations, which helps us understand how things work in real applications.
