The college is very beautiful, but there is no campus. There is a lot of politics in the college.
Placements: No packages are promised. I just learned because I love it. Only 1% of students get a placement. No one gets placements here, everyone prepares for government jobs. No companies visit such a small college to hire for their company. No student will get smart after studying here.
Infrastructure: There are three buildings here. The girls' common room and boys' common room are separate. The campus is very small. Everything is developed here, but there are no students to use it properly. Canteen is not available. The games are played on a field in front.
Faculty: I'm in my first year and haven't taken any exams yet, I don't go to college either. The teacher interacts very well with the students and behaves nicely. Passing the semester is not a big deal, you can get leaked questions if you pay money.
Other: I chose this code because I enjoy reading English literature.

For graduation courses, Berhampore College is the best choice.
Placements: Most students who graduated from Berhampore College pursued master's degrees from recognised universities. After that, they go for their respective courses and find jobs in their specialised fields. About 80% of students had found jobs, and most of them worked as professors.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was not good, but the library was resourceful. It had a wide variety of books for many courses. It also had books that were not related to academics. It provided a hostel for students. It was neat and clean. It had all facilities, including a canteen and medical facilities.
Faculty: I offer sincere thanks to faculty members in English literature. They always showed up whenever we faced trouble in our studies. Our bachelor's course had a semester system. There are 2 exams a year. The pass percentage was 40%. Most students from our batch secured over 55%.

Review of Berhampore College.
Placements: Around 40% of students are placed in our course. Our course is 3 years course, and the highest package is offered in our course. After completing Ph.D. our students are doing teaching jobs like college or university professor, school or high school teacher, etc.
Infrastructure: In our department, many facilities are provided. It has a library where students can read many books and there is an e-library. It traveled to our home. Our campus is available a Chembur where a doctor services students, and here also have many games.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is simple and deep. This course is curriculum-relevant. Exams are very helpful to be an examiner. The pass percentage is 35%.
Other: I opted for this course, because I want to learn deep in the subject. The subject of our course is the best. Our campus arranges many festivals, and scholarships are provided for poor students.

Overall, I had a nice experience in this college.
Placements: Nearly 8% of our classmates got placed during our tenure. As my stream was B.A, I didn't get any chance to get placed, and nearly 5% of the students from our course got internships. Top recruiters for our college are various commercial companies. I don't know about the average salary package offered.
Infrastructure: During our tenure, the condition of the infrastructure was good. There was no Wi-Fi facility for students, but the canteen was awesome. Various food items were available all the time, but there was no hostel in this college. However, other facilities like indoor games, labs, etc., were good.
Faculty: Our teachers were really helpful and good with all of us. They were highly educated and intelligent, and their way of teaching was also very interesting and easy. Formerly, it was known as a commerce college, and courses offered here almost make students industry-ready.
Other: I had chosen this course because of various reasons, and politics will be played inside the college, which is a bad thing in an educational institution. However, other things like various events, farewell party, fest, etc., are good. Scholarships provided are also good.

Review of Berhampore College.
Placements: The quality of placements is just average. Only a few students from all the branches get the chance to sit down for placements. Companies prefer commerce-related branches.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good and have all the necessary facilities available. Hostels are also quite good and well-maintained. Food served is also very good and hygienic. Classrooms are also quite good and maintained. I am satisfied with my admission to this college.
Faculty: The quality of education and teaching is the main, for which this university is famous. The environment provided by this university leads students to explore themselves and to be the best in their speciality. I recommend to learn and earn knowledge and explore yourself and start your college life from here.
Other: Like any other colleges, this college doesn't have a huge campus. It's the area where I think Berhampore College lags behind a little bit. But the vibes on the campus are so high that after entering into the campus, you will forget other things and surely enjoy roaming through the campus. All students are getting scholarships for their further studies.

A Decent Choice for Literature Lovers 2013 Supportive Faculty, Strong Academics.
Placements: Approximately 20 to 25% of students from the English Honours course got placed directly through college level placement drives or referrals. Institution Berhampore College University, Kalyani University Course B.A. Hons in English Session 2024 to 2025.
Infrastructure: The English Honours department has access to well ventilated classrooms with adequate seating. Some classrooms are equipped with smart boards or projectors used occasionally for presentations or seminars. The college has a central library with a moderate collection of English literature books, reference materials, journals, and previous question papers. Students are allowed to borrow books and use the reading room. Wi-Fi is available in select areas of the college, especially in administrative blocks, but access may be limited for students.
Faculty: Most of the teachers in the English Honours department are well qualified, holding Masters degrees, and some are NET or Ph.D. holders. They are generally supportive and approachable, especially when it comes to doubt clearing, guiding for assignments, and helping with exam preparation. The curriculum follows Kalyani Universitys syllabus, which includes core English literature from British, Indian, and World authors. It also covers literary criticism, theory, and elective papers, which help in building academic knowledge. Semester exams are moderately difficult, not too easy, not very hard. The question patterns are usually predictable, and past year papers help a lot.
Other: Someone who has always been passionate about literature, language, and creative expression, I chose English Honours to explore classic and modern literary works, develop critical thinking, and improve my writing and communication skills. It also serves as a strong foundation for future goals like M.A. In English, UGC NET or even careers in teaching, content writing, or civil services. More Practical Exposure. It would be great to have workshops on academic writing, spoken english, and digital content creation, etc. Industry relevant modules adding elements like media studies, editing, communication skills, and internship opportunities would make students more career ready. The college organizes annual cultural festivals.
