A pass in bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST). Candidates with not less than 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST) with Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Science or Computer Programming or Computer Applications or Business Statistics as optional or electives is required to apply for MCA. Candidates who have studied and passed one of the specified subjects in the pre-University course with 50% marks in that subject shall also be considered for admission.

The total seat intake for MCA is 60.

Admission to MCA is based on Karnataka PGCET followed by an interview round.

BMS Institute of Technology and Management offers courses at UG, PG and doctoral levels. The eligibility varies course-wise and aspirants need to fulfil the requirement specific to their programme. Below is eligibility criteria for BMSIT courses:

BMSIT Bangalore fee structure for courses such as BE consists of tuition fees and hostel fees that range from around INR 9.49 Lacs to INR 16.32 Lakh. For courses such as MBA and MCA, the fee structure is around INR 9.81 Lacs and INR 12.62 Lakh. The total fee for a course such as MTech is around INR 4.31 Lacs to INR 5.31 Lakh. The total fee structure also involves one-time fees and several recurring charges for the facilities a student avails. Students have the provision to pay the fees annually or semester-wise.

Out of 819 aspiring students 601 were placed during 2024 placements. Earlier, 786 out of 843 students were placed during the 2023 drive. The table below presents the BMSITM placement trends for the past three years:

BMSIT Bangalore training and placement cell provides in-house faculty members, outsourced training partners and industry interactions to prepare the students with utmost clarity. This cell was established in the year 2004 and the first batch to graduate with placement was of year 2005-2006. BMSIT Bangalore provides semester-wise training to students from first year onwards. The Institute has international collaborations that bring exposure and enhanced training methods to follow. As per the records of the year 2023, 1100+ students were a part of internships through 350+ companies. Students receive their share of practical knowledge through activities such as industrial visits, technical talks, alumni mentoring, and employer’s meetings.

BMS Institute of Technology and Management offers admission based on entrance exam score of the candidates. The institute accepts state-level entrance exams such as KCET, Karnataka PGCET, etc. for admission to specific programmes. BMSIT also offers admission under the Management Quota to candidates who fulfil the specified requirements. Once the selection is over, the institute releases a merit list announcing the names of the shortlisted candidates.
