B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2028
5.0
Overall, it is the best college, and all basic facilities are provided, except for medical.
Placements: In our college, about 60-70% of students from each branch get placed. My branch is civil, and the highest package is about 10-15 LPA, the lowest package is between 3-5 LPA, and the average package is 7 LPA. TCA is the top recruiting company for all branches. 100% of civil engineering students get internships from steel and cement companies. In civil engineering, our opportunities depend on our skills, like Autocad.
Infrastructure: College's infrastructure is excellent. There are separate buildings for every branch, such as CSE, EE, ECE, ME, and BSH. There are also four workshops for civil and mechanical students. Computer labs and an English language lab are available in the BSH building, and every building has labs required for its branch; for example, the civil department has a geotechnical lab. A library is also present on campus, and Wi-Fi is provided. There are three hostels on campus, but no medical facility or canteen is available.
Faculty: Teachers are highly educated and very supportive. They teach us using both smart boards and by explanation. Semester exams are not too difficult, they are based on your studies. Please review the pattern and question types from previous year's question papers. The passing percentage is 33%.
Other: I chose the Civil Engineering branch because there is a high probability of getting government jobs. My brother is also pursuing a B.Tech in the same branch, but from a different institute. Additionally, I have an interest in making designs and learning Autocad.

My college has decent infrastructure, mess, etc.
Placements: Around 30-40% of students are placed from my branch. The highest package of my course is around 13 LPA and the lowest package is around 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies that visit the college for placements are Amazon, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, and Cognizant. The top role offered in my college is computer science.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is average. My college is located in Chaibasa Jhinkpani, Jharkhand. The mess in my college is very bad because sometimes we find insects in our mess food.
Faculty: All teachers are helpful in nature and help to build our careers. All teachers graduated with a B.Tech degree from other universities and most teachers are PhD holders. Some teachers are B. Ed qualified. My college is affiliated with Jharkhand University of Technology, Jharkhand. Our faculty members are good in behavior and helpful.
Other: I chose this course because I like to study about practical work.

This college is good if you don't have another college option or don't have money.
Placements: There are around 30-40 percent of students placed in my course. Many students are not placed because many students are preparing for higher education or government examinations. The highest package of my course in my college is around 8 LPA, and the average package is 3 LPA, and the lowest package is 2.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at my college is average. This college is located 10 kilometers away from the town. There are no basic facilities available. My college campus is fully Wi-Fi, but it does not work properly. Hostel facilities are average.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, and they help us solve doubts and solve questions if you are taking interest in their subject. The college curriculum is not so relevant to industry level. The semester exam is at an average level and not so difficult according to seniors.
Other: The college is good only if you don’t have other options.

Absolutely satisfied because of the college's mess quality.
Placements: The college placement is good. The highest package is 7 LPA and the minimum package is 3.5 LPA. The top required companies are Amazon and Tata Steel.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure availability in our college and departments are very average. There are specific labs and program halls that provide you with a notification about daily life experiences. And the quality of the mess is average.
Faculty: In my college, the teachers are helpful for your course. Yes, this course curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry-ready. Talking about difficulties in semester exams it can be easy or difficult depending upon the paper and faculty.
Other: I chose this course because in India there are requirements for civil engineers. The only improvement I want in the college is the faculty members.

Good faculty members and infrastructure.
Placements: In 2023 only 30-40% of students are placed through campus placement. The highest package of placement is 5 LPA, the lowest 2 LPA and the average package is 3.5 LPA. All students got internships from our college course. Site engineer was the top role. Placements are not good for this college.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is not well maintained. Wi-Fi is not working properly. Not much equipment is available in labs. Most of the equipment is broken. Not all books which are important to students are available in the library. Faculty members are good and supportive. There is no medical facility in our college.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. They clear our doubts very well. They are always ready to clear our doubts. The difficulty level of the semester exam in this college is moderate. The passing percentage of this college is 95%. And 80% of students scored good marks.
Other: I'm interested in the civil engineering field and that's why I chose this course.

The college is good, and every facility is provided except for medical.
Placements: I graduated from Chaibasa Engineering College in 2022. At that time, about 70% of students got placements from my branch, Civil. Many students from other branches also received offers from companies like TCS, Tata Steel, etc. Nearly 80% of students got internships from each branch.
Infrastructure: At that time, there were two boys’ hostels, one for juniors (1st-year boys) and another for senior boys, and one girls’ hostel. In our college campus, everything was available. It includes the library, canteen, and hostels. There were separate buildings for every branch, and many labs were available for practical work. Wi-Fi was available 24/7. In the hostel rooms, there were three bedrooms, two fans, and three tube lights in each room. The mess food was overall good, and the canteen was also available for good food.
Faculty: Teachers were supportive and well-mannered. They were highly educated and helped us with every project and internship report. They taught us using both online and offline methods. Our semester exams were not very difficult. They were based on our potential. If you studied well from the beginning, it was easy to get good marks in each subject.
Other: I chose that branch because of my interest in the field. I liked AutoCAD and designing house plans. Many events were held at our college, such as Navkriti, Zephyr, and others. Currently, I am working at ACC Cement Company with a good salary.

The college is in the wrong location, and has no easy access.
Placements: About 10–20% of students were placed in our course, and that too on a regular basis. The highest package for civil is INR 5 LPA, and the lowest package is INR 1.5–2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata Powers, L&T, etc. Only a small percentage of students are placed in good companies.
Infrastructure: Yes, the college has wi-fi, labs, classrooms, libraries, etc. The hostel quality is also good; the food available in the hostel is also good; and other things related to the hostel are somewhat okay too. No self-made cooking or food is allowed inside the campus, and if caught, you will be fined.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful about the course and other doubt-related things; they are very qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also good, and yes, this course is relevant and makes the students industry-ready. There are no difficult semester exams in college if you have studied well.

CEC is the best college for the overall development of an individual.
Placements: Almost 70% of the students get placed every year. The highest package offered is 3 LPA. Top companies like L&T and Shree Cement for civil visit the campus. Our college gives NOC to students to do internships as in almost all companies, in civil engineering. Top role offered in our course is as a land surveyor.
Infrastructure: All things are good and all the branches have their buildings like civil engineering has a separate building. Library is also provided, and Wi-is Fi is also available. All types of labs are provided for better experiments and there are many costly machines. Canteen and hostel facilities are also available.
Faculty: The majority of teachers here are post-graduates and have more than 4 years of teaching experience. The subjects become more interesting every semester which also helps us to enhance our soft skills.
