I am satisfied by the knowledge of the teachers and their supportive nature towards students.
Placements: Around 60-70% of students get placed in our college. The highest package is around 32 Lacs per annum and the average is 3-4 Lacs per annum. Our top recruiting companies are Amazon, Wipro etc. There are many programs and events organised for the enhancement of the knowledge of the course.
Infrastructure: The college has all the necessary infrastructure for students with clean environment. All labs are well-equipped. Practical sessions are conducted to ensure their knowledge regarding their session. If we talk about hostel then it is perfectly fine. Just, food quality is not good. The library is well-equipped with the books. Medical facilities are available 24 hours for the whole week. The sports goods are available till the working hours of the college, only in the working day.
Faculty: Teachers are supportive and cooperative. They will help out with the basic stuff. Special teachers are appointed to train for the placement and interview process. Mock interview and session are conducted for the experience of the real interview. CGC is known for its placement and it proves it too. Our curriculum is not relevant for the placement drive due to old syllabus prepared by the university but our college provides extra curriculum for the placement drive.
Other: There are many events organised for the enhancement of the knowledge of the students.

A college with good placements having an amazing infrastructure.
Placements: The placements for the M.Tech was very less as the companies preferred B.Tech students over M.Tech students. The average salary offered was 3.5 lacs. Various IT companies visited the campus like Cognizant, CHL, Dell, etc. but they selected mostly B.Tech students. The roles offered to the students were of software developer, testing, and technical support.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is amazing. There is every facility available on the campus itself. The students need not go outside for any thing. There are R&D labs for the students to complete their research work. The quality of the food available in the canteen is very good and there are many eating points in the campus. The hostel facilities are much better as compared to other colleges.
Faculty: My experience with the faculty was good. They were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They give chance to the students to give presentations in the classroom on certain topics to improve their confidence and presentation skills. In M.Tech, there was no industry exposure.

There is a very bad system of attendace in this college.
Placements: I took an admission in this college on the image of good placements in the college. After some days in the college, I interacted with my seniors, and they said that few companies visit the college and place a very small amount of students around 3-6 students for core mechanical. The placement drive is joint 3 colleges come for the placement C.U, CGC Jhanjheri, CGC Landran. Huge amount of students with very fewer vacancies in the mechanical core. Name of placement is for computer science and IT.
Infrastructure: I think the college has good infrastructure with all proper basic facilities like cold water, sports, doctor available with ambulance facilities etc. The classroms are equipped with projectors(that is different teachers use them very less). The hostel has good Wi-Fi with good bandwidth.
Faculty: The faculty of the college of mechanical engineering is very nice and cooperative, but exceptions like HOD of mechanical which has all degrees, but they don't deserve that position. They don't cooperate with students, and their actions are not supportive of students.
The course curriculum wise all things are average. Approximately 30% teachers are good, and 3-5 % are true teachers with good knowledge, experience and remaining of them are just time pass people.
Other: The main thing before taking admission to this college is that the system of the attendance in college is the worse, majority of students come for attendance and not for studying. A lot of opportunities for sports, dancing, extracurricular activities which boost the self-confidence of the students.

Other: Fantastic atmosphere for study. Restrictions are more as compared to other colleges. I completed my thesis work in one and half year which is comparatively more as compared to other colleges. The Chandigarh University is going extremely well in this region. I suggests u to take admission in cu rather than cgc.

Good placement record and well maintained infrastructure.
Placements: Regarding placements, nearly about 80% of students get placed in CSE and other courses. The highest package is 32LPA and the lowest is 4LPA. Top-notch companies are Google, Microsoft, and lot more. Most companies require a software analyst to which is a good starting role for a beginner in that company.
Infrastructure: We have classrooms, Wi-Fi facility, labs, library. Food facility in hostel is not good and it needs a lot of improvement for mess food. Also medical facilities are not so strong. Sports department is very good and supportive as it helps to make student excel not only in studies as well as in sports too.
Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful as well as knowledgeable. Teaching faculty is great and understanding. It makes the students industry-ready. the course curriculum is quite relevant. It helps students to maintain their good job profiles. Faculty helps a lot to maintain student CV.
Other: I chose this course because I love knowing about computer. This course is the only course for which the maximum companies come and hire. I wish to improve the practical knowledge about my course.
