It is a very good college with good education and placements.
Placements: More than 90% of students are placed. The highest might be more than 45 LPA, the lowest is 5 LPA, and the average is 10 LPA. Recruiting companies are VMware, Infosys, Oracle, Accenture, J. P. Morgan, Elusion, and TCS. Almost 80% of students get internships at J. P. Morgan and Infosys. Roles offered are software engineer, software developer, data analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: There is no lack of any requirements like labs. We have a huge library and classrooms well maintained. We have smart boards that make teaching easier. There are many programming labs or for electrical. We also have workshop like makerspace and for 1st year physics and chemistry labs. Rooms are very good in hostel and it is safe. It is well maintained with good facilities. Food is good in mess and canteens, and it has reasonable prices in canteens. Medical facilities are good. If anything serious occurs, it will be taken to the nearest hospital also. The playground is well-facilitated with many sports to play. It has gym and table tennis also.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and skilled. They help us with our problems. They teach very clearly, using their experience and knowledge. Faculty members are also trying to improve themselves by still learning many courses and getting certification to give us better details while teaching. The course curriculum is related to web development, full-stack, software engineering, etc. The exams are not that hard if we follow the steps properly. The pass percentage is minimum 40%.

Good placements with great learning. Especially the placement classes are highly encouraging.
Placements: The current placements in the AIML department are comparatively more. Offering the greatest packages so far. To be precise, the placements are great with the training they conduct during each semester. Since it's just the beginning of placement for the 3rd year, it's doing great.
Infrastructure: The maintenance of the canteen should be improved, but except for that, the facilities provided in the labs, classrooms, and medical areas are good. A very poor Wi-Fi connection within the campus. If we look at sports and games, opportunities are given to everyone to showcase their performance with great availability.
Faculty: Teachers train the students well to gain all the qualities. To be precise, the faculty members are very interactive and encouraging, motivating us to achieve things. Teachers are knowledgeable about the courses and highly qualified. The exams conducted are also decent with no extra chaos, which helps us have a good course outcome.

CMRIT in Bangalore is known for its strong academic foundation and beautiful campus life.
Placements: The placements are average, and packages are of average around 7 LPA. 70% to 80% of approximately eligible students secured job offers. The highest packages are up to 44 LPA internationally. The highest package is up to 22 LPA domestically.
Infrastructure: I did not like the hostel facilities, not value for money. College infrastructure is good with all types of facilities. CMRIT provides a conducive environment for academic pursuits with its modern infrastructure and facilities, while there are areas that to benefit from expansion.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified, and they follow the VTU curriculum. Semester exams are also conducted by VTU. This college is affiliated with VTU. CMRIT offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering, maintaining a strong academic reputation.

Student experience at CMRIT.
Placements: CMRIT's placements are exceptionally supportive, thanks to its Tie your Places TYL programme. This unique initiative starts from your first day, not just in the final year, ensuring you are prepared for the professional world early on. The TYL programme takes a comprehensive approach, focusing on essential skills like communication, aptitude, and core technical knowledge. By strengthening these areas, it ensures students are well rounded and ready for interviews. The dedicated placement cell works tirelessly to bring in reputable companies for both placements and internships, providing excellent opportunities for a strong start to your career.
Infrastructure: Camous is located in Bengaluru bustling IT corridors, CMRIT is a prime destination for aspiring engineers, especially those interested in Computer Science and related fields. The campus, spanning 8 acres, provides a great environment for both academics and student life. It features excellent amenities like a sports ground with synthetic turf, a well resource library, and ample parking. The educational buildings are designed with well lit and properly ventilated classrooms, while the labs are equipped with robust systems and great instructors. Overall, the college offers an excellent infrastructure for students to learn, grow, and make the most of their college experience.
Faculty: CMRIT, the academic experience is excellent, thanks to the highly qualified instructors, many of whom hold PhDs in their fields. The college keeps its curriculum current with industry demands, ensuring you are learning relevant material. Professors are known for being very helpful and approachable, making a real effort to create an enjoyable and effective learning environment. A key strength is the emphasis on practical and project based learning, which goes beyond theory. This hands on approach helps students gain valuable, real-world skills that are essential for their careers.

A good balance of academics, placements, and campus activities.
Placements: I'm from the B.E. AI/ML batch (2026 pass out). Around 80% of students in my course get placed each year. In 2025, the highest package offered was 44.1 LPA, and the lowest was around 3 LPA, the average stands around 7 LPA. Top recruiters include Amazon, Deloitte, IBM, PwC, EY, and even Google. About 40-50% of students also get internships- some through campus drives and others via personal applications in companies like EY, Deloitte, and various startups. Roles range from SD, and data analyst to Cloud Engineer and AI engineer.
Infrastructure: Our department has modern classrooms with projectors and well-equipped computer labs with high-speed internet- although being 100% honest, this is not always the case as the Wi-Fi does give up sometimes, but not too often, so not to worry. There are dedicated AI/ML labs, and students get access to Makerspace for hands-on projects. The library is spacious and has a collection of some good reads. So, I would definitely recommend checking out some of the non-fiction storybooks out there. I don't stay in the hostel, but the campus has a canteen and sports ground.
Faculty: Faculty members are super fun and very approachable, well-qualified, and knowledgeable in their subjects. Many have industry experience or research backgrounds. The curriculum is regularly updated to match industry requirements- especially in courses and fields like AI and Data Science. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty, if you attend classes and study, passing is not that hard. Most students in my course clear exams without backlogs.
Other: For the quality of academics, placement opportunities, and extracurricular activities offered, I'd say, just like any other engineering college out there, it is definitely a bit overpriced. Unless you join in through KCET/COMEDK, I wouldn't say it's worth the money. The exposure to industry projects and events like hackathons, the investment is not bad.

Excellent placement and facilities with focused academic environment.
Placements: Placement rate for ISE typically range from 70-85%, with packages spanning 4-7 lakhs. Top recruiters include 50-60%, with a package of 8-12 lakhs. In my batch, 80-90% of students were placed, with package ranges from 4-8 lakhs. Around 60-70% secured internships, with roles as SDE and Data Analyst.
Infrastructure: The ISE department typically offers state-of-the-art infrastructure, including well-equipped labs, high-speed Wi-Fi, modern classrooms with projectors, and access to an extensive library with digital and physical resources. Hostels often provide clean accommodation, quality mess food with diverse options, ensuring a balanced and supportive environment for students.
Faculty: The faculty in the ISE department are usually qualified, knowledgeable, and approachable, offering effective teaching with real-world insights. The curriculum is generally industry-relevant, focusing on modern technologies and practical skills to prepare students for the job market. Semester exams range from moderate to challenging, with a typical pass percentage of 90-95%, depending on individual effort and preparation.
Other: I chose ISE for its strong industry relevance and career prospects. The course excels in hands-on projects, placements, and a modern curriculum. Improvements could include more electives and industry ties. The campus is vibrant with tech fests, cultural events, a friendly crowd, great connectivity, and student-friendly surroundings, supported by scholarships and enriching extracurricular activities.

Every year, CMRIT's MCA  Lateral Entry cutoff changes. It was approximately 3626 in 2023, compared to 3326 in the previous year. It is anticipated that the 2024 cutoff will fall between 3600 and 3700, contingent on PGCET results, seat availability, and category.
