It is a very good college with good education and placements.
Placements: More than 90% of students are placed. The highest might be more than 45 LPA, the lowest is 5 LPA, and the average is 10 LPA. Recruiting companies are VMware, Infosys, Oracle, Accenture, J. P. Morgan, Elusion, and TCS. Almost 80% of students get internships at J. P. Morgan and Infosys. Roles offered are software engineer, software developer, data analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: There is no lack of any requirements like labs. We have a huge library and classrooms well maintained. We have smart boards that make teaching easier. There are many programming labs or for electrical. We also have workshop like makerspace and for 1st year physics and chemistry labs. Rooms are very good in hostel and it is safe. It is well maintained with good facilities. Food is good in mess and canteens, and it has reasonable prices in canteens. Medical facilities are good. If anything serious occurs, it will be taken to the nearest hospital also. The playground is well-facilitated with many sports to play. It has gym and table tennis also.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and skilled. They help us with our problems. They teach very clearly, using their experience and knowledge. Faculty members are also trying to improve themselves by still learning many courses and getting certification to give us better details while teaching. The course curriculum is related to web development, full-stack, software engineering, etc. The exams are not that hard if we follow the steps properly. The pass percentage is minimum 40%.

CMRIT hit or miss - Depends on your budget and your marks.
Placements: Around 50% of students got placed. The highest salary is 40 LPA but the usual is around 7 LPA to 8 LPA. Companies are different each year, no guarantee which company will be the top recruiter. All students go for internships in information science but it depends on the conditions, if it's an unpaid or paid internship. Top roles are usually IT sector-related.
Infrastructure: Our college has labs and research rooms for students. Sports facilities are there but it's frowned upon if you do anything other than studies and coding in college. They have a turf and 3 TT tables, and 2 basketball courts along with a volleyball court. But it doesn't really matter case studies matter more for faculty members here.
Faculty: Other than the 1st year, basically science HOD and all teachers are really good and qualified. Course curriculum seems a little outdated but that's the downside of studying in a VTU-affiliated college. Dr Ravisha is the worst when it comes to managing students, he takes the life out of college life and makes you double-think about dropping out. If you got back in first year, all the best. He will drag you for a summer semester till you want to run away from college.
Other: It's more of a second option. If you are joining through management quota, there are better colleges out there. Don't waste your money here.

Excellent academics and largely devoted to the betterment of students.
Placements: About 80% of students get placed in my course. The highest package is 25 LPA. Top recruiters include Japanese companies. Many students get internships in companies. There are regular placement drives from the 3rd year to make students ready for interviews, and special importance is given to communication skills.
Infrastructure: Facilities of the college and hostel are very good. Cleanliness is maintained throughout. The hostel is a very comfortable place to reside. All the necessary appliances are provided by the hostel. The security of students is of utmost importance.
Faculty: Faculty is 100% devoted to the betterment of students, and the curriculum is highly focused on competition among peers. The subjects are taught in-depth, and regular tests as well as quizzes. It makes students industry-interested and also helps them get internships.
Other: Fests are held. Every week, there are competitions for coding, technical events, innovation events, and even non-technical events.

My experience at CMR Institute of Technology, Bangalore.
Placements: I have heard from seniors that placements are fine as long as money is not a priority. As an engineer, experience is more important to get into the job hiring, separate from college. Companies visit the college to hire students. We get some great offers from Japan, the USA, and locally speaking being in the center of ITPL. We have higher chances of start-ups helping us get jobs.
Infrastructure: They recently painted the college walls and restructured the play area so far. The campus is small but compact with everything we need. Hostels are pretty small but enough for my friends to stay in. Classrooms for the first 2-3 years are like a school room but in the 4th year, it is more professional with multi-layer seating.
Faculty: VTU is the easiest course and is easier than ICSE. It is commonly known for copy-pasting multiple questions from previous years' papers. In the VTU curriculum, it is the same thing. The real pressure is learning new stuff while simultaneously doing multiple projects to improve our resume just to get a chance in the placement process.
Other: We had a great start with many events followed by the largest group of people I have ever met. Seniors are great but there is a ragging culture in hostels and a place where many of the college students go called Madock. Ragging happens outside campus but it is rare to be one of them who gets ragged. Overall, people are boring, and smart people are busy with work. Making friends is hard here, and at least for me.

The college is good and the placements are fine.
Placements: The highest package offered by companies visiting our campus was around 44 Lacs, and the lowest was around 3.5 Lacs. Some of the companies that have visited our college for placements include Deloitte, IBM, Eurofins, Capgemini, SAP, LIT, and AT&T. The placement training in our college starts from the first year itself, so it's very beneficial for students.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi speed is fine, the labs are good, and the library has a lot of books. There are multiple sports grounds and coaching is available. The college calendar is busy with more than 3-5 events per week. The mess and cooking arrangements are hygienic, and the quality and taste of the food are acceptable. Students who miss classes without a valid reason are penalized. Additional expenses include charges for placements and training, the requirement to eat out despite mess fees, and the cost of books. If rules are broken, parents are called. Girl students are allowed outside during restricted timings.
Faculty: The academic schedule is relatively hectic, with more than 15 lectures per week. Exams are given each semester and monthly. Students can score well by studying just before the exams, or by simply writing from the textbook. There are not many industry visits, but practical discussions around case studies take place often. The library is well-stocked, and teachers help students with resources.
