I am absolutely dissatisfied with the placements of this college.

Placements: Core companies do not visit our campus. Maximum marketing companies come to the College of Engineering, Roorkee. In civil engineering, the maximum salary package offered is 4 LPA. Students of core branches are not satisfied by the placements and the companies also.

Infrastructure: Good facilities and infrastructure are available for the students of this college. The entire campus has good quality Wi-Fi access. Best labs and experienced lab technicians are also available on campus. The best and most popular books are available at the college library and every branch has its own library.

Faculty: Teachers, faculty advisory, head of department are well-educated and much experienced, qualified, and knowledgeable, but the teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is relevant to the course but does not make students ready for the industry. The quality of the semester examination conducted in our college is average and the minimum passing percentage is 30%.

Placements were not good, and there were highly qualified faculty members.

Placements: During my tenure, not even a single company visited here, so none of the students got a job. Only IT companies visit here and some CS companies, but not even a single company visits here for the civil course. If students want to join this college for placements, I suggest not to join as none of the students from the civil course gets jobs here.

Infrastructure: Our college has a nice infrastructure and good Wi-Fi facility at various places such as mess, hostels rooms, library, etc. Labs are fully equipped with equipment, and there are nice classrooms. There is also a huge library which has enough books with respect to different courses. Hostels and mess are also nice.

Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful and qualified. Most of them were passed from IIT Roorkee, and most of them are highly qualified (post graduated). Courses taught here are more relevant, but they are not enough to make students industry-ready. Semester exams are conducted well, and the level of questions is also nice. In the previous year, the highest academic percentage is 83.4%.

Other: I want to become an engineer, so I chose this course. The best thing about this course is that it is tough. The placement cell should be improved. Lots of events were held such as Oorja, Coer Zoin, Manthan 19, etc.

We just can't rule out the fact that some of the faculty are really experienced and hard working.

Placements: Placements were not up to the mark. They need to work a lot in TPO department ( Training and Placement office) They are not able to attract companies for the placement purpose. The placement of the college is about 20% or less. Mostly the BPOs visit for the placement and students are not willing to start their career with a call center.

Infrastructure: Course infrastructure was also quite average. The labs were good with new equipment and classroom were main stream. Hostels however were top notch with good Wi-Fi facility. However the mess was average with not so good food. College campus is full of greenery which makes it delightful to spend time.

Faculty: Most of the course faculty were young with no teaching experience. Apparently they used to hire their own passed students as the faculty in the college. Mostly the students who were preparing for GATE after passing the final semester were appointed as the faculty.

Other: Extracurricular activities were done thoroughly over the semester. Crowd was good but the college has started admitting the locals from the near by village to fill the seats which has made the college crowd go down the hill in past 5-6 years and these students are solely responsible for fights and riots among the students in fest and other activities.

College of engineering Roorkee at its best.

Placements: A good percentage of students got placed in year 2019. The highest package of students from COER is 34LPA and the average package is 4.5LPA. Top recruitment companies comprises of HCL, Anchor etc. Many students got internship from final year some got internship in DMRC and indian militry academy Dehradun.

Infrastructure: The facility at college of engineering Roorkee has the best faculty which comprise from IIT and NITs. The hostel facility and the lab facility is at its best in the college of engineering Roorkee. Wi-Fi quality also provides aid to the students in their assignments and projects.

Faculty: Many courses are there in college of engineering Roorkee like B.Tech, M.Tech B.Com M. B.A. And B.Sc. The faculty of all the courses are at its best. They are very helpful to the students in college of engineering Roorkee. The course curriculum is relevent to the industrial practices.

Best engineering college in Uttarakhand .

Placements: Our college shows maximum 95% placement. The packages are between 4 LPA - 8 LPA. The major recruiters are supertech, berger paints, doodhi construction, vanish constructions etc. Students got internship in major firms like public works department, thdc, irrigation department, bhel etc.

Infrastructure: COER is fully equipped with the booming facilities example: Wi-Fi campus, projectors in each classroom, library comprising books of national as well as international authors. Hostels are fully ventilated, cleanliness is their major priority, also the food served in mess is also hygienic and worth eating.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and very helpful in nature. They are always highly motivated to improve their knowledge and add something new to it. The offered course curriculum is highly relevant as it makes students company/industry ready. The value added programs enhanced the knowledge of students and take it to a different level.
