COEP Pune admission is entrance-based and managed by via Maharashtra state-level centralised process and university portal. College of Engineering Pune (COEP Pune) now known as COEP Technological University offers admission in its flagship BTech course based on MHT CET (Maharashtra state seats)/ JEE Main scores (All India seats). Admission in PG courses is based on scores of candidates in entrance exam, such as GATE, MAH MBA CET, CEED, etc. The seats are allottedto aspirants via Maharashtra State CAP rounds.
COEP Technological University offers courses at UG, PG, diploma and doctoral levels in Engineering, Architecture and Management streams. The courses include BTech, MBA, MTech, PG Diploma, etc. Candidates need to apply for the accepted entrance exam followed by state-level counselling for admission.

2: Selection
Aspirants must pass MHT CET/ JEE Main for BTech and BPlan, GATE for MTech and GATE/ CEED for MPlan. The university conducts UCET for non-GATE and non-Sponsored category aspirants. The selection in MBA course is based on MAH MBA CET scores of the aspirants.

3: Counselling & Merit list
- Applicants after passing JEE Main/ MHT CET for BTech and BPlan courses have to register for Maharashtra State CAP counselling. Candidates need to upload required documents. Once the registration is done, State CET Cell, Maharashtra releases a provisional merit list. The seats are allotted to candidates based on their rank.
- For MTech/ MPlan, aspirants have to register on the official website of COEP. The university releases provisional CAP allotment list in three rounds. The seats are allotted to aspirants based on their entrance exam rank.
- MBA applicants have to first apply for Maharashtra State CAP Counselling. Those who are allotted seat can confirm their admission. In case the seats remain vacant, aspirants can fill out the non-CAP or ACAP form on the university's website. The seats are then also offered based on MAH MBA CET scores of the candidates. Aspirants who did not participate in state-level CAP have to fill out non-CAP form. COEP Technological University (COEP Pune) provides various Non-government, and Industry/ Alumni-aided scholarships to its postgraduate, undergraduate, and various students.
