Absolutely amazing because of the good placements, faculty, and infrastructure.
Placements: Placements in our college, Sri Venkateshwara University College of Engineering, are based on students' CGPA and skills like subject knowledge and working ability. The maximum package in this department is 8 LPA, and the minimum is 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The food quality is very good. It is just like home food. The hostel and room quality are also very good. There is a separate hostel for first-year students. We have digital classrooms and well-organized labs in our college. They are in great condition.
Faculty: Faculty is very experienced with amazing explanation skills. They are well-trained. The concepts are easily understood by students. There is a big library, which is useful for GATE preparation and also for many central government jobs.

It is a great college with good food.
Placements: To date, above 50% of students got placed in top companies with good packages. Most of the jobs are from the software side. Infosys and IETE are the most recruiting companies. It is a better college in the overall Andhra Pradesh state.
Infrastructure: Hostels provide comfortable accommodation with well-furnished rooms and 24/7 security. Wi-Fi, common study rooms, and recreational spaces enhance the student experience. The mess serves hygienic and nutritious food with multiple menu options, while the canteen offers snacks and beverages. The university promotes sports and fitness with facilities for cricket, football, basketball, and indoor games. A well-equipped gym is also available. The campus has a health center providing medical care with qualified doctors and emergency services. With a strong emphasis on academics, research, and extracurricular activities, SV University and SVCET offer a well-rounded educational experience for ECE students.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They have great knowledge and skills. They are great in the college. Semester exams are easy. Everyone can easily pass the exams. It is a great college in perspective of engineering and technology admission.
Other: It is way too good in the college.

Do's and dont's of our college.
Placements: Emphasis, Cognizant and TCS are most likely to give jobs. This year we are getting a very low number of placements; till now we have gotten only one placement for our senior and that is from Emphasis, and his package is just 6 LPA. We are not getting satisfactory placements here.
Infrastructure: In our hostel, the bathrooms are not clean and there is some blockage of water. Hostel rooms are good but most of the fans are not working properly. But the environment is very good. Classes are digitalised but are not so good to listen to. Water pours down during heavy rain.
Faculty: Our teachers are very much qualified; most of them are professors. We have less pressure on academics. Our academic standards are so good. This curriculum is so much more relevant to studies. Semester exams are very difficult. Our teachers are also helping with the competitive exams.
Other: Our college is vast and there are so many grounds there to play and to improve physical fitness. We are also getting gym but roaming in college around nights is a little bit dangerous because of wild animals.

Satisfied with faculty, good placements.
Placements: 70 percent of students were placed in the Electronics and Communication Engineering course. The highest package is 4 Lacs per annum. Top companies are HCL, TCS, Wipro, Cap Gemini, and Tech Mahindra. More than 80 percent of students got internships in TCS, Wipro, and HCL. Top roles are web developer and app developer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is average, and there is no air conditioning in classrooms. The library is good, full of books. There is no proper equipment in labs. There are two canteens in the university. The food in the mess is average. There is one health center in the university.
Faculty: There are highly qualified teachers. All are PG holders. They are very interactive with students. In the future, there will be a huge number of jobs related to our course. There will be two semesters every year. The pass percentage is about 85%. We can pass in examinations.
Other: In the future, there will be more vacancies in the semiconductor industry. So it will be helpful for us. We can learn some software-related languages also in this course. The campus is very good with greenery. Rhapsody is the fest that will be held once a year for 3 days.

Future for students in placements .
Placements: In my course, the students getting a rank below 10k will be placed. Most of the students are clever in this course. The highest package is around 12 LPA, and the lowest is 4 LPA. The top company was TCS. There is a lesser percentage of getting internships, so we have to try off-campus.
Infrastructure: The course building is very old, and the department labs are there, but there is a lack of equipment to do practical experiments. Only Matlab is providing Wi-Fi; other labs don't have Wi-Fi facilities. The food is okay because it is good as per what we are paying for. We have daily eggs and omelets, except on Saturday.
Faculty: The teachers are very good and student-friendly. The teaching quality is good for some teachers, and some teachers didn’t cover the entire syllabus—they just showed the PPT and completed the syllabus. The curriculum is not ready for industry purposes because of the lack of equipment in labs. Per semester, we have a total of 2 mid-exams. The highest mid marks are considered as 80 percent, and the lowest is 20 percent.
Other: We have a free campus because we don’t have any sections here. We only have one section for one branch, and all branch faculty take care of us. But in other colleges, one branch has a lot of sections with a huge crowd, and the faculty doesn’t see the students—they just leave them. We have a local scholarship scheme where the local government pays our tuition fee.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   Does B.Tech CSE have a better placement rate than B.Tech ESE at Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering?
ShikshaGPT says
A:

Yes, B.Tech CSE (Computer Science and Engineering) generally has a better placement rate than B.Tech ESE (Electronics and Electrical Engineering) at Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering (SVUCE). This is due to the higher demand for CSE graduates in the IT industry.

SVUCE's placement statistics consistently show a placement rate of over 95% for B.Tech CSE graduates, compared to around 85% for B.Tech ESE graduates. The average salary package for B.Tech CSE graduates is also higher than for B.Tech ESE graduates.

The higher demand for CSE graduates stems from the IT industry's rapid growth and the constant need for skilled professionals in software development, web development, data science, and cybersecurity. This broader range of career opportunities and higher salaries contribute to B.Tech CSE's better placement rate.

While B.Tech ESE graduates also have good placement prospects, the demand for CSE graduates is currently stronger. However, it's important to choose a discipline aligned with your interests and career goals. If you're passionate about software and technology, B.Tech CSE is a great choice. If you're interested in electronics, electrical engineering, or other engineering fields, B.Tech ESE may be a better fit.

Ultimately, the decision between B.Tech CSE and B.Tech ESE depends on your individual aspirations and career path. Both disciplines offer promising career opportunities, and SVUCE's strong placement record ensures that graduates in both fields have access to excellent opportunities.

    ShikshaGPT says
    A:

Yes, students with minimum cutoff can get a seat at Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering (SVUCE). However, the chances of selection will depend on various factors, including the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the entrance exam, and the availability of seats in different branches.

While the cut-off marks for admission to SVUCE are generally high, students with minimum cutoff can still increase their chances of selection by:

    • Preparing well for the entrance exam: Familiarize yourself with the exam pattern, syllabus, and practice questions to improve your score.

    • Targeting less competitive branches: Consider applying for branches that have historically had lower cut-off marks.

    • Demonstrating a strong overall profile: Participate in extracurricular activities, volunteer, and gain relevant work experience to make your application more attractive.

    • Staying informed about the admission process: Keep track of the admission dates, eligibility criteria, and counseling procedures to ensure you meet all the requirements.

It is important to remember that selection to SVUCE is competitive, and there is no guarantee of admission even with a strong overall profile. However, by preparing well, considering less competitive branches, and following the admission process carefully, you can increase your chances of securing a seat at this prestigious institution.

Overall, SVUCE is a great choice for students seeking a high-quality engineering education with a strong focus on placements. The college's excellent placement record, industry-relevant curriculum, and strong alumni network make it a popular destination for top recruiters and a promising launchpad for successful careers in engineering.

    AskShikshaGPT on App
