Good infrastructure and faculty members.
Placements: There are 60 students in our classroom. In M.A., there are no placements, as far as I know, while I am studying. No companies are there because my course does not offer corporate jobs; it’s like a literacy subject, so I can’t work with the companies, so that's it.
Infrastructure: There are good facility of labs, library and classrooms. Its is very clean and the classrooms are enough big to sit comfortable for the students to attend the daily lecture of the teacher for our course subject. There are Wi-Fi install for the students.
Faculty: The curriculum is very well structured, and the teachers guide us for the competitive exams also. Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable for the course that I obtained, which is Assamese, and it covers all units, or you can say, important topics.

Unveiling Cotton University: One of the best educational institutes of northeast India.
Placements: There's a placement cell in the university but the opportunity for getting placements is quite low. Maybe only 5% of students get direct placements from the university. The university provides an internship program in various companies across the country. Students from different departments such as master's of computer application MCA M.Sc. in computer science, etc., have to do an internship at the end of the course.
Infrastructure: Cotton University provides a variety of courses. It has different departments. There are separate classrooms for different classes though the number of classrooms is not sufficient. There are lab facilities in different departments like chemistry, biology, MBBT, education, psychology, etc. There is a central library named Surya Kumar Bhuyan SKB library. It has a variety of books required in different fields.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified and experienced. They are quite cooperative and supportive towards students. They always encourage the students to participate in different co-curricular activities apart from studies. The curriculum is quite comprehensive and has course objectives. The outcomes are defined for students and teachers. The curriculum has a good balance between theory and practicals. There mainly two exams are held in each semester. One is the mid-term examination which helps in the middle of the semester. Another is end term exam held at the end of each semester.
Other: I am currently pursuing a master's of arts in education. The faculty members from my department are very supportive and cooperative with each student. The syllabus is well-organized. There are many events organised on campus. One is Abege and another is Cotton Fest. Every year general freshers are organized to welcome the new comes. Cultural night during the varsity week is another major event of the university where students from different backgrounds get the opportunity to showcase their talents. Students from the university can avail scholarships provided by the state and central government as well.

Most reputed and old University of NE.
Placements: My placement journey started with an internship. The college requires all students to complete an internship, which is helpful in securing a placement. I was placed at the Numaligarh refinery as an unpaid intern. Cotton University's placement record is good for fields other than psychology. Most psychology graduates do not get jobs in reputed hospitals. Two students landed government jobs as forensic psychologists, but those positions were off campus.
Infrastructure: University is the most prestigious university with a 120-year glorious history. The university doesn't have its own playground. The infrastructure that needs improvement is small. Library facilities could be better and the collection of books is very low. The surroundings are noisy, and vehicles are going on the road. Washrooms are dirty and indoor stadiums need to be repaired. There are 3 girl hostels and 4 boy hostels. The price is affordable.
Faculty: There are a good number of faculty members in college, and most of the professors are highly qualified. I love the way they teach, teaching us the most two-way interaction between us and the teacher. Psychology courses study the mental state and behavior of individuals and treat that mental state. Educational psychology and criminal psychology are other parts of the curriculum. The drawback is the marking system. Not enough marks are awarded to students, and the frequency and timing of exams are quite appropriate. Difficulty is not high but moderate.

Cotton University review 2022.
Placements: The median package offered to UG students during placement in 2022 was INR 5.24 LPA. For PG courses, the median package is not specified but the placement cell is actively engaged in the recruitment drive. According to my friends and seniors who got good placements every year,.
Infrastructure: Library: well-equipped with large number of textbooks, national and international journals, magazines, periodicals, newspapers, reports, bound volumes and maps. Laboratory: Departmental laboratory facilities for various subjects. Auditorium: guest lecturers, etc.
Faculty: Wi-Fi and modern facilities, interdisciplinary education and research, community involvement and environmental awareness activities. M.Sc., B.Sc., M.A., B.A., BCA, MCA, etc. and PG courses are available here. 45 percent is required to pass and professors are very helpful to aspirants.

Strong academics and decent placements.
Placements: Our college students also support and encourage internships with good opportunities and a good stipend. However, those who want to get hired need to work more on their skills to secure job placements, as there is no placement department on campus. The college is good overall.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good, the library has favorite books of students, and the canteen serves good food at low prices. Labs are very good, and both the library and e-library are up-to-date. Practical labs are also up-to-date, making for a very good college with good infrastructure.
Faculty: All faculty members are highly qualified and have wide knowledge of the subjects they teach. Cotton University faculty is highly qualified and knowledgeable, providing excellent quality education. Teachers are friendly and help students with any project or paper publication for research topics.
Other: The only improvement I would like to see in my course is that the labs should be equipped with more modern machines, especially for research purposes. Sudermerson Hall and KBR Hall are always packed with a bunch of students busy with extracurricular activities.

M.A. in Sociology - Batch of 2021

The best university for M.A. in Sociology.
Placements: Some of our super seniors have become professors after completing their Ph.D. The salary paid to professors can range from Rs. 40,000 to 1 lakh or more per month. Our college has not recruited yet. If you have a Ph.D., you can become a research scientist. No maximum, minimum, or average stipend is given during internships.
Infrastructure: Good ability to sit; projectors are used for teaching. Libraries in the department include the Central University Library as well. Internet connectivity is available through Wi-Fi, and the labs are well defined with different instruments. Food at the hostel is average - not too good, not too bad. There is a variety of sports, including an indoor stadium for badminton, carrom, and taekwondo training.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified and help us in every way. The education quality is top-notch. Yes, the course structure is relevant as it will provide a good source of knowledge and prepare the student for the industry in his particular field. The difficulty of the course is moderate. The pass rate is around 95%.
